CABARET TONIGHT NYC: ALI HARPER: NAUGHTY AND NICE - A DOWN UNDER DIVA! (ONE NIGHT ONLY)
New Zealand Diva Ali Harper makes her long awaited New York debut in her show 'Naughty and Nice' at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Thursday, June 27th at 9:30 pm. She is joined on stage by her Musical Director Alex Rybeck and band: Jered Egan on bass; Sean Harkness on guitar; and Ray Marchica on drums. Lina Koutrakos directs. This Diva from Down Under has starred in the hit musicals 'My Fair Lady', 'The Sound of Music', 'Evita', 'Guys and Dolls' and 'South Pacific' as well as appearing in popular New Zealand TV shows including Dancing with the Stars for 5 seasons. Ali was awarded Actress of the Year for her performance in Joanna Murray Smith's one woman play 'Bombshells'. Ali has recently released her 2nd album 'Naughty and Nice;' a chocolate box selection of music to arouse the senses from Doris Day, Peggy Lee, Jacques Brel, Joan Baez and Alberta Hunter. Her show at The Metropolitan Room will include many of these as well some surprising gems.
