NYC: INSPIRED 6 AT THE LAURIE BEECHMAN
FEATURED CABARET BENEFIT EVENT

THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) presents INSPIRED 6 on Monday, February 23rd at 7:00 pm. Produced and created by award winning composer Bobby Cronin, INSPIRED is a benefit concert series for animal rescue organizations across the country, with a rotating line-up of some of today's exciting musical theatre writers in a casual and intimate setting as they sit behind the piano and, unlike traditional concerts of their material, perform songs by other writers that have inspired their work. The INSPIRED series hopes to spread the word about the 2.7 million adoptable animals that are euthanized each year in America. Now in it's second year, the series has raised funds for 10 shelters in the US (and recently London!) and given voice to over 30 musical theatre writers. The INSPIRED 6 Line-up for February 23rd includes: Trevor Bachman, Lauren Elder, Brian Feinstein, Daniel Lincoln, and Alexander Sage Oyen. 100% of tickets sales will benefit BadAss Brooklyn Animal Rescue and Pet Rescue NY. There is a $20 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: WILLIAM TN HALL: OTHER PEOPLE'S PARTIES

When Joan Rivers used to perform her cabaret act at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in Manhattan, the late lamented comic superstar was accompanied at the piano by William TN Hall, a charming young Englishman who immigrated here from London. Now Hall, who is also an actor, singer and music composer, is returning with his own cabaret debut with "Other People's Parties," at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Monday, February 23rd at 9:30 pm. Hall, twice nominated best nightlife entertainer by MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets), will be singing his original songs as well as songs from artists such as Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush, Sir Elton John and Broadway composer Michael John LaChiusa. There is an $18 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: BERNARD DOTSON RETURNS AFTER SOLD-OUT DEBUT

In an encore performance of his SOLD OUT solo debut, Broadway song and dance man Bernard Dotson returns to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Monday, February 23th at 7:00 pm. He will be singing songs by great composers of Broadway, Film, and a few Surprises from the Pop World. Directed by Bob E. Gasper and under the musical direction of Tracy Stark, the show will feature David Silliman on Drums, Skip Ward on Bass, Peter Calo on Guitar, and Jeanne Montano and Tanya Holt on backup vocals. On Broadway, Bernard was featured in Finian's Rainbow, (First Gospeleer, Original Revival Cast), Chicago, (Billy Flynn), Imaginary Friends, (Leo, Original Cast), Sweet Smell Of Success, (Club Zanzibar Singer, Original Cast), Jesus Christ Superstar, (Original Revival Cast), and the Tony Award Musical Ragtime, (Original Cast). Concerts and recordings: She Loves Me, Boys Night Out, Celebration of the Rat Pack, New York Philharmonic, the music of Frank Loesser, Dreamgirls for the Actors Fund, (Recording), Broadway On 22nd Street, Encores Broadway Bash at City Center, and several cast recordings including the newly released Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN

THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) presents "Happy Days are Here Again" on Monday, February 23rd at 9:30 pm. Managing partner Bernie Furshpan hosts a nostalgic visit to bye-gone days when life was much simpler. Let's bring back that feeling and get you smiling. Musical Director is Tracy Stark. Scheduled to perform: Eric Stone, Fran Leonardis, Lauren Stanford, Bill and Anita, Gary Lizardo, Daryl Glenn, Dara Eagle, Lisa Ellex, Sly Young, Beau Howard, Kathleen Stuart, Erika Amato, Charotte Patton and Lisa Williamson. NYC: AN EVENING WITH CARMAN NAPIER

Actress & singer Carman Napier will make her New York City solo show debut in Little Fish, Big Apple at STAGE 72 (158 West 72nd Street, NYC - 212-362-2590) on Monday, February 23rd at 9:00 pm. Carman first appeared in New York in Songs For A New World and recently garnered acclaim for her portrayal of Diana in Next To Normal at The Gallery Players. This evening of musical theater and pop songs will also feature stage and screen star Anita Gillette (Chapter Two, Cabaret, Moonstruck, 30 Rock) and the talents of Noah Ricketts (Beautiful:The Carol King Musical) and Samantha Cutler (Billy Elliot: The Musical). Conceived by Carman Napier and Artistc Consultant Michael Bello (Asst. Director; Doctor Zhivago), Little Fish, Big Apple tells the story of the challenges an artist faces when chasing their dreams in New York City. The show also offers audiences the opportunity to experience the talents of singer Carman Napier as she delivers songs that are close to her heart. There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: 54 SINGS THE IRVING BERLIN SONGBOOK

Join an all-star cast of 54 Below favorites for an evening celebrating the work of American Songbook pioneer, Irving Berlin at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Monday, February 23rd with shows at 7:30 & 930 pm. Berlin's catalog of songs spans the musical rainbow from rag to pop standard to Broadway anthem. Hear outstanding renditions of Irving Berlin's most memorable songs including "Alexander's Ragtime Band," "Heat Wave," "Play a Simple Melody," "A Pretty Girl Is Like A Melody," and the song made famous from Berlin's Annie Get Your Gun, "There's No Business Like Show Business." Directed by T. NYC: DINE & DANCE WITH VINCE GIORDANO AND THE NIGHTHAWKS - NOW AT THE IGUANA

Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks are back - and now will play every Monday & Tuesday night from 8:00 to 11:00 pm at at IGUANA'S VIP LOUNGE (240 West 54th Street, NYC - 212-765-5454). Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks is an eleven-piece band playing music of the 1920s & 30s for your dining and dancing pleasure. In 1976 Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks (originally known as the New Orleans Nighthawks) was formed. A big-band historian and collector, Giordano has more than 60,000 scores in his collection. There is a $15 cover (at the door) plus a $15 food drink minimum.
