PALM SPRINGS, CA: RANDY ROBERTS LIVE AT THE COPA

Randy Roberts performs at THE COPA (244 East Amado Road, Palm Springs CA - 760-866-0021) on Friday & Saturday, February 27th & 28th at 8:00 pm. From the moment he walks onstage, Randy Roberts is in charge of his audience. He commands the stage with an unparalleled presence and a voice that is unmatched in the world of female impersonators. Roberts has been entertaining audiences, for over 30 years. He's been seen off-Broadway in the developmental workshop of "Give A Man A Mask" at the York Theatre. In San Francisco in the world premier of the new musical: "Chance" by Richard Isen. Directed by Robert Kalfin at the Alcove Theater. On television on ABC television's "One Life To Live". He made his movie debut in the award winning indie film "Any Day Now" starring Alan Cumming, Garret Dillahunt, and Frances Fisher. He's been seen on the Las Vegas strip in BOY-LESQUE at the Sahara and Stardust hotels and AN EVENING AT LA CAGE at the Riviera Hotel. The Randy Roberts Show is an all live, multi-media tribute to some of the world's most loved performers. Randy's uncanny impersonations of Cher and Bette Midler have kept him in the spotlight for the past twenty years. His roster of famous and infamous ladies also includes: Mae West (a perennial favorite), Joan Crawford, Carol Channing, Ann Miller, Phyllis Diller(an act which landed him on "The Jenny Jones Show" with the real Phyllis Diller), and a bevy of original ladies, including a tribute to Gypsy Rose Lee with a strip tease that leaves little to the imagination and the audience rolling in the aisles, and audience favorite: Consuela - The Latin Showgirl! He closes every show with a mini-lounge act, allowing him the chance to get up close and personal with his audience. Call for cover/minimum information.

SAN DIEGO, CA: FRIDAYS WITH JANICE EDWARDS & NATHAN FRY

Janice and Nathan (Janice Edwards & Nathan Fry) perform on Fridays from 8:00 to 11:00 pm at MARTINI'S ABOVE FOURTH (3940 4th Avenue, San Diego, CA - 619-400-4500). While Nathan's virtuosity speaks for itself, accompaniment to Janice makes for an inspired pair at they present resonant selections from their extensive list of everything from funk to country, gospel and jazz. No cover show.

LOS ANGELES: LARRY DAVIS IS "PROVOCATIVE" AT THE GARDENIA

Larry Davis brings his show "Provocative" to THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444) on Friday & Saturday, February 27th & 28th at 9:00 pm. Davis is a performer whose unassuming nature belies the depth of his talent. His voice is pitch-perfect with just the right amount of humanizing rasp to sex it up, and he delivers a lyric with those impeccable choices in phrasing and rhythm that seem to be conferred only through maturity. His solo Gardenia debut last July was a revelation which left the critics running out of superlatives. Call for cover/minimum information.

SAN FRANCISCO: PAULA WEST IN EXTENDED RUN AT FEINSTEIN'S

After a sold out run in 2014, Paula West returns to FEINSTEIN'S AT THE NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 866-663-1063) for another winter residency with an all new show featuring an ecletic mix of songs from memorable jazz standards by Cole Porter and Rodgers and Hart to contemporary American classics by Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones. Performances are Thursdays through Sundays, February 12th through March 22nd = at 8:00 pm on Thursdays & Fridays, and 7:00 on Saturdays and Sundays. There is an additional late night performance on Valentine's Day, February 14th at 10:00 pm. Paula West is a Bay Area favorite, known for her rich and powerful contralto voice. She has released four CDs including "Temptation" (1997) "Restless" (1999) "Come What May" (2001) and "Live at Jazz Standard" (2012). West performs across the Country as well as internationally and has shared stages with Rosemary Clooney, Jimmy Scott, Oscar Brown Jr. Freddy Cole, Mose Allison, Mavis Staples and Dave Frishberg. She has been the featured vocalist with Wynton Marsalis at Jazz at Lincoln Center, performed at the White House and had a sold out debut at the Maison de la Musique in Paris. She'll be joined onstage by her four piece band that includes Adam Schulman and Bruce Barth on piano, Barak Mori and John Witala on bass, Ed Cherry on guitar and Jerome Jennings on drums and, together, they will take their Feinstein's audiences on a musical journey through the ages. There is a $35-$50 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.
