Clark Warren brings his critically acclaimed show 'Jazz Standards With a Twist' to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Wednesday, November 5th & Monday, November 24th, both shows at 7:00 pm. Clark knows he is a lucky so & so and this inventive, tuneful, upbeat show reflects that gratefulness. His business card simply reads "Voice" since working that instrument has always been his only business. From major TV voice overs to his hosting three syndicated music programs, to appearing at New York's Birdland and seventeen years of Manhattan cabaret, Clark has shared a lifetime of entertaining on stage, on radio, TV and in nightclubs with appreciative reviews and fans. Clark Warren is known as a singer, actor, voice-over artist, magician, entertainer. Highlights include: his continuing role as Don Curtis on NBC's "From These Roots"; Emmy award winning episode "Carol" in Ben Gazara's "Run for Your Life"; Clint Eastwood's "Coogan's Bluff" with Clint and Lee J. Cobb; four shows a night at Hollywood's Magic Castle where his oil portrait and caricature hang; news/music host on stations WDXN, WCBN and WMTR; 8 seasons of repertory stock; sole corporate TV spokesman for Thomas' English Muffins (6 years), Woolite (7 years), Ford Motor Company (2 years) and more, core member "Singers Forum OutReach" (16 years), and 17 years of NYC cabaret. Barb Jungr: Hard Rain, the songs of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, will be performed at 59E59 THEATERS (59 East 59th Street, NYC - 212-279-4200 - http://www.59e59.org/) on Tuesday through Sunday, October 28th through November 9th. Showtimes vary so please check the website - . Ms Jungr will be accompanied on piano by Tracy Stark and on percussion by Mike Lunoe. Acclaimed singer Barb Jungr continues to bring the American Songbook into the 21st Century in this new show, breathing new life into the music of Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, arguably the best folk/pop songwriters of their generation. The political and philosophical songs by these two music icons make up her hardest hitting set to date. With a song list that includes Masters of War, Hard Rain and Blowing in the Wind, Jungr's celebrated interpretations allow these songs to be heard in brand new ways. There is a $35 cover. Chris Barrett returns to LA RIVISTA RISTORANTE(313 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-366-4603) on Monday, May 19th, where he will be at the piano Mondays through Wednesdays. There are two shows nightly, a dinner show at 8:00 and a supper show at 10:00 pm. Chris Barrett's performances are in the tradition of the great late-night boites of a fondly remembered era, when the likes of Hugh Shannon, Bobby Short, and Buddy Barnes manned the keyboard. There is no cover charge.
