Kritzerland Upstairs at Sterling's presents "Put on Your Sunday Clothes" - The Songs of Jerry Herman on Sunday, November 2nd at 7:00 pm at STERLING'S AT THE FEDERAL(5303 Lankershim Boulevard, North Hollywood, CA - 818-754-8700), The show is hosted by Bruce Kimmel. As always, the cast includes some of the best voices in town, including David Engel, Chelsea Emma Franko, Damon Kirsche, Valerie Perri, Sami Staitman, Shannon Warne and special guest, c. You'll hear songs you know and songs you don't know. Cover charge $15 plus $10 food minimum plus a $4 facility charge. 

LOS ANGELES: PETER SMITH'S "TOO MARVELOUS FOR WORDS" AT VITELLO'S

Peter Smith's "Too Marvelous For Words", a fun and swingin' journey into the early days of Nat King Cole will be presented at VITELLO'S(4349 Tujunga Avenue, Studio City, CA - 818-769-0905) on Sunday, November 2nd at8:00 pm. Before "The Christmas Song" and "Mona Lisa" that we know from the crooner standing in front of the orchestra, Nat was recording and playing (from the piano bench!) some of the tastiest and most influential music of the day, leaving an impact not only on an array of singers but on pianists such as Oscar Peterson and Ahmad Jamal. Drawing on his experience as both an actor and a singer/pianist, Peter Smith effortlessly weaves in stories from this period in Nat King Cole's life as they relate to the song selections, creating an evening that is fun, informative and leaves the audience not only tapping their feet, but pondering some fascinating tidbits from Nat's life. There is a $15 cover.

LOS ANGELES, CA: HELEN REDDY CELEBRATES 73RD BIRTHDAY

Helen Reddy celebrates her 73rd Birthday and will be continuing her celebration at CATALINA JAZZ CLUB(6725 West Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, CA - 323-466-2210) on Saturday & Sunday, November 1st & 2nd (call for showtimes). Born into a well-known Australian show business family, Helen Reddy has had a life and a career richer and more varied than anything she could ever have imagined as a girl in Melbourne. She has dined on her birthday with the Prince of Wales, danced in the White House with the President of the United States, and had a tulip named after her in Holland. Best known as a recording artist, Helen Reddy had more than a dozen Top 40 hits in the United States. She was the first Australian to win a Grammy Award and to have three #1 hits in the same year. In television, Helen was the first Australian to host her own one- hour weekly primetime variety show on an American network, along with several specials that were seen in over forty countries. She is currently touring the world and after 30 years, just toured her homeland in Australia April 2014. Call for cover/minimum information.
