NYC: MARK JANAS' SALON: "LOVE TAKES MANY FORMS" 

SALON - that unique, Multiple Award Winning, Weekly Open Mic Event, created and hosted by Mark Janas continues at ETCETERA ETCETERA(352 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-399-4141) on Sundays from 7:00 to 10:30 pm (sign-up begins at 6:15 pm). The optional theme is "LOVE TAKES MANY FORMS". Remember, any material, on or off theme, is always welcome at Salon. Co-Host will be Dottie Burman Award Winning Singer/Songwriter Amy Engelhardt. NYC: IN THE STILL OF THE NIGHT WITH SHANA FARR

Shana Farr returns to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) with her acclaimed solo show 'IN The Still Of The Night' on Sunday, November 2nd at 7:00 pm. Jon Weber on pian and Adam Fisher on cello also make great music in this theatrical one-act musical monologue in which all words both spoken and sung were written by Cole Porter or Noel Coward. An evening of wit and flamboyance, chic and cheek, urbanity and elegance! With both humor and sentiment, Shana Farr brings new interpretations to songs such as "Zigeuner", "Begin the Beguine", "Love For Sale", and "Just One Of Those Things" along with other favorites "What Is This Thing Called Love?", "My Heart Belongs To Daddy", "Never Again", "If Love Were All" and more. NYC: T OLIVER REID: REMEMBERING HARLEM 1934

Singer and Broadway star T. Oliver Reid leads what he describes as "a club hopping journey through the swanky clubs and low down joints of 1934 Harlem," at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday, November 2nd at 7:00 pm. He will be featuring the music of Duke Ellington, Harold Arlen, Andy Razaf, and more. In this new show, Reid performs each number with the unmistakable dramatic flair of a musical theater veteran, and he also provides an overview of the clubs, musicians, and social context of the music. Funny, informative, and a consummate showman, Reid will transport you back to the heyday of iconic venues like the Cotton Club. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. 

NYC: TIM REALBUTO'S 'WUNDERKIND' NOW AT JOE'S PUB

Former child "star" and current NYC based award-winning writer and performer Tim Realbuto (Ghostlight; The Emperor's Club) will being his show 'Wunderkind - A Growing Up In Showbiz Story' to JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555) on Sunday, November 2nd at 7:00 pm. This is the last performance of this show in NYC for 2014. Tim has just turned 30 and is struggling with where he fits in the world, where he has been and where he is going. In this deeply personal, poignant, and hilarious show Tim will tell the (mostly) true story of how he grew up in show business and went from former child actor to the adult writer of the popular new Broadway-Bound musical Ghostlight. Some of Tim's famous Broadway friends will help him along the way, playing different characters from his past, as well as the voices in his head. Expect an evening filled with plenty of well-known tunes, originals, diva impressions, and special guest appearances from popular stars of stage and screen. Was Tim ever a wunderkind? Is it too late to become one now? Isn't that funniest sounding word ever?" NYC: 54 LOVES BILLY JOEL

54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) salutes the original Piano Man, Billy Joel on Sundays November 2nd at 7:00 pm and November 30th at 9:30 pm. Some of Broadway's most incomparable voices pay homage to the man who gave us unrivaled tunes like Honesty, She's Always a Woman, Scenes from an Italian Restaurant & So It Goes, among countless others. He's a 23-time Grammy nominee (and a 6-time winner), he's sold more than 150 million records worldwide, and he's a Kennedy Center honoree. Join at cast for this very special evening, complete with 4 piece band, lauding this most prolific and ingenious master of music. There us a $35-$75 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: LET ME TRY THAT AGAIN - AT 54 BELOW

On Sunday, November 2nd at 9:30 pm at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551), Hunter Bell ([title of show], Grinch) and Susan Blackwell ([title of show], "Side By Side by Susan Blackwell") host an evening of fabulous performers sharing video of their most embarrassing moments onstage and then redeeming themselves by recreating that moment in the second annual benefit for The Performing Arts Project. Tony Award-winner Billy Crudup (No Man's Land, Waiting for Godot, The Coast of Utopia), Rose Hemingway (How to Succeed...), Taran Killam ("Saturday Night Live," 12 Years a Slave), Kelli O'Hara (The Bridges of Madison County, Nice Work, South Pacific), Ben Platt (The Book of Mormon, "Pitch Perfect"), Steve Pasquale (The Bridges of Madison County, Reasons to be Pretty, "Rescue Me"), Krysta Rodriguez (First Date, The Addams Family, "Smash"), and more to be announced. Mary-Mitchell Campbell (Big Fish, The Addams Family) will serve as the music director. At the end of the evening, the audience will vote on the star performer who most redeemed themselves through their efforts that night. Bell and Blackwell were the winners of the event last year, which Pasquale developed with his peers in mind. The Performing Arts Project is a not-for-profit organization formed by a group of respected educators and entertainment industry professionals to help prepare the next generation of performers. The Performing Arts Project offers dynamic and constantly evolving annual programming, the cornerstone of which is a three-week summer intensive during the month of July. Funds raised during this benefit will go directly towards scholarships and student programming costs. There is a $25-$200 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
