LONDON: MARILYN MAYE MAKES HER CRAZY COQS DEBUY
The award-winning Marilyn Maye makes her debut at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) on Tuesday through Saturday, October 7th through 11th at 8:00 pm with her show 'An Evening With Marilyn Maye' singing classics from The American Songbook alongside Musical Director and pianist Billy Stritch. Maye appeared 76 times on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson - the record for a singer, and the prestigious Smithsonian Institute chose her recording of Too Late Now for inclusion in its Best Performers of the Best Compositions of the 20th Century permanent collection, along with singing greats such as Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland. Among her many symphony concert appearances around the United States, she has joined The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall for tributes to Stephen Sondheim and Frank Loesser. Her New York engagements include sold-out multiple-nights at The Metropolitan Room, New York's Town Hall, and five two-week runs at Feinstein's at The Loews Regency Hotel. LONDON: LATE NIGHT JAZZ WITH NOEMI NUTI
Noemi Nuti, the up-and-coming jazz-Latin vocalist/songwriter and her pianist Chris Eldred perform at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888 - ) on Friday, October 10th at 10:30 pm as part of the club's Late Night Jazz series. She will be performing Brazilian Latin-jazz compositions from greats including Jobim and Djavan among others. Noemi will also be performing some original songs from her debut album "Nice to Meet You", to be released in March 2015. Call for cover/minimum information.
LONDON: ZEETEAH MASSIAH AT THE PHEASANTRY
After her recent sell-out show at The Pizza Express Jazz Club, Soho, Zeeteah Massiah is back at THE PHEASANTRY(152-154 King's Road, London SW3 4UT - 08456 027 017 - ) on Friday, October 10th at 8:30 pm, along with her dynamite band. She will be performing new songs from her album 'Juice' as well as some old favourites. Zeeteah Silveta Massiah is a singer best known in the United States as the lead vocalist on the 1993 Arizona US No. 1 Billboard Dance Chart track Slide On The Rhythm. She has recorded and toured with artists including Michael Jackson, Tom Jones, Phil Collins, Sting, Leo Sayer, Robbie Williams and Michael Bolton. Call for cover/minimum information.
