NYC: ERIC MICHAEL GILLETT: THE WIT AND WISDOM OF NOEL COWARD

Eric Michael Gillett brings to life the Wit and Wisdom of Noel Coward in his new show at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909), with performances scheduled for Friday & Saturday, October 10th & 11th; Mondays, October 20th & 27th, and November 3rd - all shows at 7:00 pm. Musical Director is Rick Jensen with Matt Scharfglass on bass and Jonathan Kantor on reeds. The epitome of wit and sophistication, Sir Noel Coward's storied career spanned more than half a century. In Man About Town, award-winning cabaret artist Eric Michael Gillett focuses on the music and lyrics of the man known as the Master. After acclaimed evenings dedicated to Harold Arlen, Stephen Sondheim, Craig Carnelia, Lorenz Hart, and his revue in development, The Amanda McBroom Project, Man About Town allows Eric Michael to focus an entire evening on the wit and wisdom of one of the twentieth century's most admired and brilliant artists. From "What's Going to Happen to the Tots," "Don't Put Your Daughter on the Stage, Mrs. Worthington" and "Uncle Harry" to "Come the Wild, Wild Weather" and "London Pride," Man About Town explores the Noel Coward musical legacy in all of its considerable glory. Eric Michael Gillett is known as a director, an actor, a singer, and a teacher. He is the recipient of both the MAC Award for Outstanding Direction and the Dick Gallagher Award, bestowed by the Mabel Mercer Foundation, for his unique contributions to the art of cabaret. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

NYC: COLE ESCOLA IN THE FIRST GAY PRESIDENT GOES TO PARIS

Internet comedian and downtown darling Cole Escola has created an evening of sketches and characters for his new show 'THE FIRST GAY PRESIDENT GOES TO PARIS' to be premiered atTHE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE(61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Saturday, October 11th at 7:00 pm. Included in the show are "Tennessee Williams Baby," "The Goblin Commuter of Hoboken," "The First Gay President," and very much more. Every single one of Cole's shows sold out last fall. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: N.W.A "NEGROS WITH ASTHMA" STAND UP COMEDY

Charles McBee (Laughs on FOX) & Khalid Rahmaan (Gotham Comedy Club) bring their smart, edgy and hilarious stand up comedy live to THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Saturday, October 11th at 9:30 pm. The comedians featured on this show headline clubs and colleges all over the country and were also featured on MTV, VH1, NBC's Last Comic Standing and Saturday Night Live. NYC: JAMES RICH - "WHEN I THINK ABOUT LOVE"

James Rich makes his debut at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, October 11th at 7:00 pm. In his show, 'When I Think About Love', Rich will bring a fresh spin on classic songs about love from The Great American Songbook and others. Joe Alterman will head up the Trio for the evening and a very special guest will join James on stage for an unforgettable duet. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: JUDY AND LIZA TOGETHER AGAIN AT MAMA' S

Cabaret favorites Tommy Femia and Rick Skye have teamed up for another evening of "Judy and Liza Together Again" at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Saturdays, October 4th, & 11th at 8:00 pm. They are joined by Ricky Ritzel (as Mort) at the piano. These MAC Award winning performers (Best Impersonation) will pull out all the stops, singing classic solo's, parodies, duets and just plain whooping and hollering by the greatest mother/ daughter team in show biz history. Tommy Femia is a 7 time winner of the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC) Award for his brilliant portrayal of Judy Garland in "Judy Garland LIVE!", now in it's 20th season at Don't Tell Mama. He has also starred in "Whoop-de-doo", "I Will Come Back" and, most recently, "Norma Does Men". Rick Skye is best known for writing a string of outrageous comic revues including "The Flip Side of Neil Sedaka", "MaCabaret - a tabloid fable", "The War of the Mama Roses", "It's Madame with an E" and the International hit - "A Slice O' Minnelli" for which has enjoyed successful season's in Covent Garden, at the Apollo Theatre in London's West End and at the Dublin Theatre Festival where he received the Award for "Best Achievement in Performance". There is a $25 cover charge and a 2 drink minimum.

MANHATTAN: LE SCANDAL CABARET CONTINUES AT THE BEECHMAN

NYC's longest running burlesque variety show, LE SCANDAL CABARET, continues on Saturdays, at 10:30 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). In its ninth year, Le Scandal features variety acts, circus performers, live music and a bevy of burlesque beauties. New performers every week! Expect sword swallowers, belly dancers, rope trick cowboys, contortionists, torch singing fan dancers and comedic aerobats, all set to the live music of the Le Scandal Orchestra. NYC: LESLI MARGHERITA - ALL HAIL THE QUEEN

Lesli Margherita presents 'All Hail The Queen' at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Saturday, October 11th at 11:30 pm and Sunday, October 19th at 9:30 pm. An evening of sheer entertainment, All Hail the Queen is totally more than a cabaret. It's a Vegas-style nightclub act. Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita (Matilda, Zorro) takes the "reigns" from the likes of Bette Midler and Liza Minnelli. Commanding the room with sass and bawdiness - plus some self-deprecating humor for good measure - Miss Margherita sings and struts her way through the 70-minute set, which includes twists on old songs and new favorites (courtesy of musical director/arranger Brett Ryback). With hilarious storytelling and showstopping numbers, the evening offers something for everyone. There will be feathers. There will be sparkles. And you better believe there will be worshipping. All Hail the Queen, written and conceived by Margherita, will be directed by Lauren Bass with musical direction & arrangements by Brett Ryback (Murder for Two) and produced by Jordan Bass & Lauren Bass. There is a $25-$35 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: MOLLY RINGWALD MAKES CAFE CARLYLE DEBUT

Singer/actress Molly Ringwald will make her Cafe Carlyle debut in 'An Evening with Molly Ringwald' at THE CAFE CARLYLE (35 East 76th Street, NYC - 212-744-1600) on Tuesday through Saturday, October 7th through 18th at 8:45 pm with an additional show on Saturdays at 10:45 pm. Ringwald, who got her start in the iconic John Hughes films The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles and Pretty In Pink, has since become an accomplished stage actress, writer and jazz singer. She has starred in Broadway productions of the Pulitzer Prize-winning How I Learned to Drive; the revival of Cabaret; Tony-nominated Enchanted April and the West End production of When Harry Met Sally. She will perform songs from the Great American Songbook and Ringwald's acclaimed album, Except Sometimes and will be joined by her musical director and pianist Peter Smith (all dates except October 9 where he will be substituted by Laurence Hobgood) and Trevor Ware on bass. There is a $50-115 cover.
