NYC: MARISSA MULDER AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) Presents "The New Face of Cabaret," Marissa Mulder on Thursday, October 9th at 9:30 pm. Marissa Mulder grew up in Syracuse, New York and in 2007, graduated from Suny Geneseo where she studied musical theatre.When Marissa was little, her grandmother directed her in several concerts and shows at St. Ann's Church in Syracuse. Her grandfather introduced her to the music of Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Rosemary Clooney and Billy Eckstine. She came to New York and quickly delved into the Great American Songbook and cabaret, to which she is now utterly devoted. Last year she made her cabaret debut at Don't Tell Mama under the direction of her mentor, singer Karen Oberlin. She won this past summer's Metro Star Challenge at the Metropolitan Room. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

Caroline Ferenczi returns with her show 'Get Right Back' to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Thursday, October 8th at 7:00 pm and Saturday, October 18th at 4:00 pm.The show will deal with the ups and downs of her journey with love. Musical director is Jeff Cubeta, with Eric Michael Gillett directing. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. $10 cover for members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.

Craig Pomranz appears at New York's newest music venue, CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA (178 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-995-0900), on Thursday, October 9th at 7:00 pm. An internationally acclaimed performer, reminiscent of Johnny Mathis and Chet Baker, Craig celebrates love with songs from Laura Nyro to Billie Holiday to Cole Porter. When Pomranz takes the stage romance will be in the air with an evening of love songs: funny, wry, nostalgic and romantic. NYC: ADULT PUPPET CABARET WITH NICOLA & FRIENDS
Nicola McEldowney (Producer and Puppeteer), a director, actress, playwright and puppeteer, will perform with her friends Rachel Gambiza and Ming Aldrich-Ganat THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Thursday, October 9th at 7:00 pm. She has been performing puppet plays professionally for children and adults since 2010. She is also the creator of the musical comedy Aisle Six, featured at the New York International Fringe Festival and San Diego Fringe Festival in 2013. Rachel Gambiza is the lead singer and songwriter for Boston-based rock opera band Gambiza. She has performed extensively in Boston, with occasional shows in New York, and in other parts of New England. Ben Rimalower debuts new play "Bad With Money" at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) running on Thursdays at 9:30 pm, September 4th through November 6th. Ben Rimalower's addiction to spending beyond his means has driven him to extreme lengths all his life. In BAD WITH MONEY he charts his sometimes hilarious, sometimes harrowing struggle to overcome his problem - or get rich trying. "Bad With Money" is written and performed by Ben Rimalower and directed by Aaron Mark. Rimalower's first solo show, the long-running hit Patti Issues, explored his obsession with Broadway diva Patti LuPone and his relationship with his troubled gay father. Bad with Money delves into even deeper personal territory with the story of his struggle with debt - a journey that takes him through drug addiction, prostitution, fraud and multiple betrayals. A Celebration of the Life of Rita Hayworth, starring Quinn Lemley, will be presented at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Thursday, October 9th at 7:00 pm. The show is written and directed by Carter Inskeep. Quinn Lemley brings her hit show up close and personal to 54 Below for one night only. Quinn is known for her uncanny resemblance to Rita Hayworth, from her flowing red hair to show stopping performances. Celebrating the life, loves and career of Hollywood's most electrifying siren Quinn's critically acclaimed tour-de-force performance features a swinging band and the story that reveals an extraordinary life few have known. Her showbiz story is a true fairytale - from her role as 'Dorothy' in Paper Mill's 'Wizard Of Oz' to Andrew Lloyd Webber choosing her to star in the revival of 'Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' - and her cabaret debut reveals the stories behind the story. Kelli went on to play Eponine in 'Les Miserables' on Broadway and originate the song "Stranger to the Rain" in the premiere of 'Children Of Eden'.
