HOTLINE MEMBER EVENT TONIGHT IN PALM SPRINGS, CA: MEG MCLYNN IN "FOOLIN' 'ROUND: THE PASTY CLINE SONGBOOK"

HOTLINE MEMBER EVENT TONIGHT IN PALM SPRINGS, CA: MEG MCLYNN IN "FOOLIN' 'ROUND: THE PASTY CLINE SONGBOOK"

Meg McLynn brings her show "Foolin' 'Round: The Patsy Cline Songbook" to THE ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATRE at the JOSLYN CENTER (73-750 Catalina Way, Palm Desert, CA - TKTS: 760-325-2731) for one show only on Sunday, September 14th at 2:00 pm. The title of the show is taken from one of Patsy Cline's many hit songs, which will be featured in this tribute backed by The Purple Phoenix Trio led by Seattle musical director David Duvall. The show is part of Les Michaels' Sundays In Summer Series. Originally from the East Coast, Meg McLynn earned her BFA degree then left to entertain audiences from Miami to Anchorage before settling in Seattle in 2010 and teaches acting and voice as well as performs in theatrical and musical productions and as a popular singer with local bands in jazz, and blues clubs, along with her cabaret solo shows. Her interest in the legendary country star came about after singing Ms. Cline's signature hit "Crazy" and fans saying how much their voices were alike, which led Meg to learn more of Patsy's songs. Researching the singer's story came next and Meg's extensive acting training made telling it to audiences came easy, but don't expect an impersonation or costumes. You will get Patsy's familiar hit songs that will bring back memories of the country star that died tragically in a single-engine plane crash on March 4, 1963 at the age of 29 with 3 other country performers in route to Nashville after performing for a benefit in Kansas City. There is an $11 cash cover.
