HOTLINE MEMBER EVENT TONIGHT IN NYC: GEORGA OSBORNE IS "BACK" AT MAMA'S

Back Stage Bistro and MAC Award winning popular cabaret artist and comedienne Georga Osborne returns to the stage after a 10-year hiatus in a brand new one-woman show, "back" at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 ) with shows on Friday, September 19th at 7:00 pm; Saturday, September 27th at 5:30 pm; and Sunday, October 12th at 3:00 pm. Featuring an eclectic mix of music from Aretha to Winwood and Ahrens & Flaherty to Rodgers & Hammerstein, "back" is about being back on the cabaret stage, looking back, realizing we can't go back, and "Oh! My back!" The show is directed by Lennie Watts and Steven Ray Watkins provides musical direction. There may even be a special visit from 1960s-70s Pop Sensation (and Georga's pal and spirit guide), Mrs. Miller! Osborne is known for her tributes to Mrs. Miller and more recently for her appearances as Florence Foster Jenkins in "Souvenir: A Fantasy on the Life of Florence Foster Jenkins" by Stephen Temperley. Georga Osborne has a Bistro Award for Outstanding Musical Comedy Performer as well as two MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets) Awards in the same category. The cross-over artist has appeared on Broadway in "Meet Me in St. Louis" and has toured extensively in multiple international tours of such productions as the Cameron Mackintosh/National Theatre of Great Britain's production of "My Fair Lady", "The Sound of Music" (with both Marie Osmond and Debby Boone) and "Hansel und Gretel" as the Knusperhexe with the Pittsburgh Opera Theater. In addition, she has sung back-up vocals for Bjork and dragged Renee Fleming across the stage at Carnegie Hall in "A Streetcar Named Desire." There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
