MIDTOWN JAZZ AT MIDDAY continues at ST. PETER'S CHURCH - SANCTUARY (619 Lexington Avenue, NYC - 212-935-2200) every Wednesday. Midday Jazz Midtown is an ongoing jazz program for the midtown community. Concerts take place in the Sanctuary of Saint Peter's Church and are presented by Midtown Arts Common in cooperation with Saint Peter's Church. Ronny Whyte is the producer. The show on Wednesday, September 24th features a '100th Anniversary Tribute To Matt Dennis' with Bob Dorough, Mary Foster Conklin, Roz Corral, Alex Leonard, Ronny Whyte, Boots Maleson, and David Silliman. Matt Dennis (1914-2002) was an American singer, pianist, band leader, arranger, and writer of music for popular songs. Some of his most famous compositions include "Angel Eyes," "Everything Happens to Me," and "Violets for Your Furs."
