LONDON: STEVEN BRINBERG IS SIMPLY BARBRA
Due to phenomenal demand, Steven Brinberg returns with 'Simply Barbra', to THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) Tuesdays through Thursday, September 23rd through 25th at 8:00 pm. The show will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Funny Girl, which opened on Broadway in 1964 and came to London two years later. The internationally acclaimed film version, which was nominated for 8 Tony Awards, followed in 1968. Musical director Nathan Martin and a different West End guest star accompany Brinberg each night. Steven has been acclaimed for his vocal performance of Barbra Streisand all over the world for over a decade. In addition to touring around America, he has played extensively in England, Ireland, Scotland, Australia, Spain, Mexico and Canada ... more cities then the real Barbra! He has also appeared in numerous symphony concerts with the late Marvin Hamlisch and sang at Stephen Sondheim's birthday concert at the Library of Congress in Washington DC. He has released two CDS Live in London and Duets and has appeared in films such as Camp and Boys Live and in a concert version of Funny Girl on Broadway, featuring Whoopi Goldberg, Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel. LONDON: OPEN MIC NIGHT AT THE CRAZY COQS
Harold Sanditen, jazz-cabaret singer and veteran theatre producer, is host of Open Mic Night at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888 ) every Thursday at 10:30 pm, ably supported by regular musicians Michael Roulston on piano and Jonty Fisher on bass. It is always an entertaining evening full of fun and surprise. Aimed at both the jazz and theatrical communities, The Crazy Coqs Open Mic Night welcomes all singers, composers and musicians, up & coming and established, who want to do a turn, performing new material or old favourites. For the audience, come and catch that proverbial 'rising star' (or possibly a famous West End name) in the intimate, "jewel-box" surroundings of The Crazy Coqs. Call for cover/minimum information.

Koukie, singer, composer and poet, will perform at THE PHEASANTRY (152-154 King's Road, London SW3 4UT - 08456 027 017 - ) on Thursday, September 25th at 8:30 pm. Koukie blends sultry jazz vocals with an overriding sense of playfulness to create a theatrical but pleasing sound.
