NYC: GEORGA OSBORNE IS "BACK" AT MAMA'S

Back Stage Bistro and MAC Award winning popular cabaret artist and comedienne Georga Osborne returns to the stage after a 10-year hiatus in a brand new one-woman show, "back" at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 ) with shows on Friday, September 19th at 7:00 pm; Saturday, September 27th at 5:30 pm; and Sunday, October 12th at 3:00 pm. Featuring an eclectic mix of music from Aretha to Winwood and Ahrens & Flaherty to Rodgers & Hammerstein, "back" is about being back on the cabaret stage, looking back, realizing we can't go back, and "Oh! My back!" The show is directed by Lennie Watts and Steven Ray Watkins provides musical direction. There may even be a special visit from 1960s-70s Pop Sensation (and Georga's pal and spirit guide), Mrs. Miller! Osborne is known for her tributes to Mrs. Miller and more recently for her appearances as Florence Foster Jenkins in "Souvenir: A Fantasy on the Life of Florence Foster Jenkins" by Stephen Temperley. Georga Osborne has a Bistro Award for Outstanding Musical Comedy Performer as well as two MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets) Awards in the same category. The cross-over artist has appeared on Broadway in "Meet Me in St. Louis" and has toured extensively in multiple international tours of such productions as the Cameron Mackintosh/National Theatre of Great Britain's production of "My Fair Lady", "The Sound of Music" (with both Marie Osmond and Debby Boone) and "Hansel und Gretel" as the Knusperhexe with the Pittsburgh Opera Theater. In addition, she has sung back-up vocals for Bjork and dragged Renee Fleming across the stage at Carnegie Hall in "A Streetcar Named Desire." There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: JUDY AND LIZA TOGETHER AGAIN AT MAMA' S

Cabaret favorites Tommy Femia and Rick Skye have teamed up for another evening of "Judy and Liza Together Again" at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Saturdays, September 13th & 27th at 8:00 pm. They are joined by Ricky Ritzel (as Mort) at the piano. These MAC Award winning performers (Best Impersonation) will pull out all the stops, singing classic solo's, parodies, duets and just plain whooping and hollering by the greatest mother/ daughter team in show biz history. Tommy Femia is a 7 time winner of the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC) Award for his brilliant portrayal of Judy Garland in "Judy Garland LIVE!", now in it's 20th season at Don't Tell Mama. He has also starred in "Whoop-de-doo", "I Will Come Back" and, most recently, "Norma Does Men". Rick Skye is best known for writing a string of outrageous comic revues including "The Flip Side of Neil Sedaka", "MaCabaret - a tabloid fable", "The War of the Mama Roses", "It's Madame with an E" and the International hit - "A Slice O' Minnelli" for which has enjoyed successful season's in Covent Garden, at the Apollo Theatre in London's West End and at the Dublin Theatre Festival where he received the Award for "Best Achievement in Performance". There is a $25 cover charge and a 2 drink minimum.

NYC: "SHARON CLARK MISBEHAVES" - ONE NIGHT ONLY!

DC's remarkable jazz vocalist Sharon Clark returns to the THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, September 27th at 7:00 pm with a whole new show - "Sharon Clark Misbehaves," a collection of songs based on her overseas tours and domestic adventures. This is Clark's sixth Met Room engagement, and her latest collaboration with music director Chris Grasso. Clark has toured worldwide, from Europe to Israel, as well as multiple tours of Russia, where she is a major concert draw. A winner of the Billie Holiday Vocal Competition and the American Traditions Competition, Clark appears regularly in DC at Blues Alley and Loews Madison Hotel. A featured soloist with the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra, the Richmond Symphony, and the Baltimore Symphony, Clark has headlined the Duke Ellington Jazz Festival, the Cape May Jazz Festival and the Savannah Music Festival where she earned the festival's Gold Medal. Clark and Grasso are joined by Eric Wheeler, bass, and Lenny Robinson, drums. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. 

NYC: A NIGHT WITH ROGER GANGI AT THE MET 

Native New Yorker Roger Gangi will perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, September 27th at 9:30 pm. Roger's vocal style represents a strong style of many of his idols to include Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Billy Joel, Johnny Mathis, and Barry Manilow. He was born with a velvet voice and he has made a point in his life to work his voice to cultivate it and develop a style of his own and an outstanding vocal range. Roger is very passionate about his singing and has developed into a great entertainer. For the past 50 years, Roger has had the honor to sing at many events, fundraisers, private parties, weddings, clubs, and internationally acclaimed cabarets. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: THE BEST OF DINA MARTINA AT THE BEECHMAN

Dina Martina will bring her show THE BEST OF DINA MARTINA to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Thursday through Sunday, September 25th through 28th at 7:00 pm. The show is a nearly indescribable night of unique entertainment that assaults the senses like no other show. Once again, Dina offers a delightful blend of unequaled song, unnecessary dance, unattractive costumes, and unbelievable video. She's the recipient of two GLAAD Media Award nominations for Best Off-Off-Broadway Show, two Footlight Awards from The Seattle Times (1999 & 2004), a 1997 nominee for a Seattle Stranger Fringe Theater Award for Best Solo Show, and a finalist for the 2007 Alpert Award. MANHATTAN: LE SCANDAL CABARET CONTINUES AT THE BEECHMAN

NYC's longest running burlesque variety show, LE SCANDAL CABARET, continues on Saturdays, at 10:30 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). In its ninth year, Le Scandal features variety acts, circus performers, live music and a bevy of burlesque beauties. New performers every week! Expect sword swallowers, belly dancers, rope trick cowboys, contortionists, torch singing fan dancers and comedic aerobats, all set to the live music of the Le Scandal Orchestra. NYC: CELEBRATING ADOLPH GREEN AT 54 BELOW

54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) will celebrate the genius of Adolph Green in this, his centennial year on Thursday through Saturday, September 25th through 27th at 7:00 pm. A rotating cast of Broadway greats will present a three night musical soiree to pay tribute to this legendary master of his craft. In a career that spanned six decades and seven Tony Awards, Adolph Green and Betty Comden produced a body of work that is unparalleled in the American theatre: Wonderful Town. Bells Are Ringing, Singin' in the Rain, On the Town, The Will Rogers Follies, The Bandwagon, On the Twentieth Century, Applause, Subways Are For Sleeping! And that's just the tip of the iceberg! Hosted by Klea Blackhurst.

NYC: THE PETERSONS AT 54 BELOW

Upstate New York's favorite family band, The Petersons, come to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Saturday, September 27th at 9:30 pm. They're not really a family (or, if we're being completely honest, from upstate NY either). Matt Saldivar (Act One, Peter and the Starcatcher, Grease, The Wedding Singer), Adam Stein (The Lion King), Keira Naughton (The Rivals, Lucy), Rick Holmes (Spamalot, Cabaret, Peter and the Starcatcher), Evan Robertson and Pete Simpson (Blue Man Group) play The Petersons, a musical band of misfits from the (fictional) upstate town of "Essex-on-Haugatuck." Performing an eclectic mixture of original rock music and character-based comedy, they come prepared with an entirely new show and special guest each time.The Petersons have played sold-out shows at Joe's Pub, Caroline's Comedy Club, Ars Nova and the West Bank Cafe. This is their debut at 54 Below. There is a $25-$35 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: 54 BELOW PRESENTS EWALT & WALKER'S PAJAMBOREE

After sold out shows at Joe's Pub, Caroline's on Broadway, and 92YTribeca, Ewalt & Walker are bringing their music to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Saturday, September 27th at 11:30 pm as part of the club's Later Night series. And this time, they've got their pajamas. Ewalt & Walker, the writers behind BROMANCE: THE DUDESICAL, are taking over late night at 54 Below with lots of their Broadway friends to throw a musical theater sleepover party. It's time for some great new music along with everyone's favorite sleepover traditions like scary stories, truth or dare, hair braiding, and seven minutes in heaven. Directed by Adria Barbosa, produced by Andrew Rasmussen, and music directed by Benjamin Rauhala (Broadway Loves Britney/The Spice Girls). NYC: STACY SULLIVAN IS "ON THE AIR" A SALUTE TO MARIAN MCPARTLAND 

On Friday through Sunday, September 26th through 28th, acclaimed vocalist Stacy Sullivan, winner of the Nightlife, Bistro, and MAC Award for Outstanding Female New York Debut, pays tribute to Marian McPartland with the New York debut of "On the Air" at THE YORK THEATRE at Saint Peter's Church (619 Lexington Avenue, NYC - 212-935-5820 ext. 25)! Check their website for details. Legendary jazz pianist Marian McPartland (1918-2013) left a body of work as a performer and composer rivaled only by her advocacy of the art form. As host of "Piano Jazz," she led the longest running cultural program in the history of National Public Radio, interviewing and performing with the giants of 20th century jazz. "On the Air" weaves storytelling and performances of some of the most beloved works from the American Songbook into a fascinating portrait of an Englishwoman who became an American jazz tastemaker. Featuring music of Duke Ellington, Richard Rodgers, Stephen Sondheim, Willie Nelson, and, of course, Marian herself. Call for cover/minimum information.
