NEW HOPE, PA: LAINIE KAZAN "THE MUSIC THAT MAKES ME SING, MY LIFE IN CONCERT"
Tony and Golden Globe nominee Lainie Kazan will bring her show "The Music That Makes Me Sing, My Life In Concert" to THE RRAZZ ROOM IN NEW HOPE (6426 Lower York Road, New Hope, PA - 888-596-1027) on Friday & Saturday, June 27th & 28th at 8:00 pm. Lainie is the embodiment of the word entertainer. Her acclaimed cabaret show takes audiences on a journey through her nearly five decades-long career, from her start as Barbra Streisand's understudy in Broadway's "Funny Girl" to appearing on "The Dean Martin Show" a record 26 times, to her beloved turn as Maria Portokalis in the hit film "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." Along the way, Kazan pays homage to her idols Judy Garland, Ethel Merman and Sophie Tucker. There is a $45-$55 cover.

The band continues its mission to party and rock the house for all who loved Chuck Brown and the music he created and keeping the Legacy of Chuck Brown with us always. "The Godfather of Go Go," Chuck Brown is the undisputed sole founder and creator Go-Go music, a hypnotically danceable genre deeply rooted in funk and soul that he developed in the early 70's , and the only form of expressive culture to originate in the District of Columbia. The King Soul Band will perform atBETHESDA BLUES & JAZZ SUPPER CLUB (7719 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD - 240-330-4500) on Friday, June 27th at 8:00 pm. Born of a mutual passion for the deep, down home sounds of an earlier time, eight-piece band King Soul is bringing the excitement of real Southern Soul to a new audience. Featuring original songs, powerful vocals, soaring horn work and driving rhythms, King Soul has become a top draw at area clubs and events. The allstar band includes members of the Slickee Boys, the Rhodes Tavern Troubadours, the Recliners, the Grandsons, the Hula Monsters the Thangs and the J Street Jumpers. King Soul's membership holds more than 30 Washington Area Music Association Wammies and Austin Music Awards to its credit.
