NYC: JOAN RIVERS: LIVE IN TIMES SQUARE!

Comedy legend Joan Rivers returns with her her live stand-up act to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Friday, February 7th at 8:00 pm and Tuesday, February 11th at 7:30 pm. Rivers presents an evening of her newest and most outrageous riffs on Hollywood, pop culture, celebrities, reality TV and award show fashions. Rivers delivers a raunchy, politically incorrect evening of stand-up comedy. A full dinner menu and bar are available, and pianist Will Hall plays from the time doors open until Joan takes the stage. Net proceeds going to Joan Rivers' favorite charities: God's Love We Deliver and Guide Dogs for the Blind. A full dinner menu and bar are available. Dallas DuBois and her merry band of drag stars put a bawdy twist on some of your favorite pop culture icons in a series of cult hit pop culture revues whicj run on alternate Fridays at 10:00 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). The group presents the Magic Kindom themed DISTORTED DIZNEE, the Great White Way tribute DISTORTED BROADWAY and the new Silver Screen inspired DISTORTED HOLLYWOOD. This trio of Las Vegas-style drag extravaganzas feature drag stars Holly Dae, Bootsie LeFaris, Pixie Aventura, Brenda Dharling, Dallas DuBois and more. NYC: TABOO: 10TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT

Exactly ten years after closing on Broadway, Boy George's Taboo returns to New York for a very special two-night-only engagement at54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551), on Friday & Saturday, February 7th & 8th with shows at 8:00 & 11:00 pm benefitingBROADWAY CARES/EQUITY FIGHTS AIDS. The concerts star Matthew Rowland (Boy George) and Samuel Buttery (Leigh Bowery), both of whom will be reprising their performances from the 2012 revival of TABOO at the Brixton Clubhouse in London. Jeremy Kushnier (Footloose, Jersey Boys, Jesus Christ Superstar) takes on the role of "Philip Sallon." Boy George's Taboo: Ten Years Later will also reunite original Broadway stars Sarah Uriarte Berry ("Nicola"), Jeffrey Carlson ("Marilyn"), Liz McCartney ("Big Sue") and Cary Shields ("Marcus"), and ensemble members Jennifer Cody, Lisa Gajda, Bob Gaynor, Curtis Holbrook, Donnie Keshawarz, Jennifer K. Mrozik, Nathan Peck, Alexander Quiroga, Jody Reynard, Asa Somers, Denise Summerford, James Tabeek, and Gregory Treco. Taboo: The 10th Anniversary Concert is being presented by Grammy and Emmy Award winner John McDaniel and Amanda Sales. McDaniel, who served as musical supervisor and arranger during TABOO's original Broadway run, will also act as music director for the concerts. He will play piano and conduct a band of some of TABOO's original musicians: Kevan Frost on guitar, Chris Jago on drums, and David Kuhn on bass. There is a $60-$75 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: THE LOSERS LOUNGE TRIBUTE TO LOU REED AND THE VELVET UNDERGROUND

The Losers Lounge is back with at JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555)! They are presenting a Tribute to Lou Reed and The Velvet Underground Thursday through Saturday, February 6th at 7:00 pm; 7th at 7:00 & 9:30 pm; and the 8th at 6:30 & 9:00 pm. They will entertain with all of the incredible songs, great performances, irreverent antics and special guests that you can only find at The Losers Lounge. Losers's Lounge was started by session keyboardist Joe Mcginty (Psychedelic Furs, The Ramones, Ryan Adams) and psycho-cabaret singer Nick Danger. Originally a piano singalong night at The Pink Pony Cafe on Ludlow Street in lower Manhattan, The Loser's debuted at The Fez Nightclub with A Tribute To Burt Bacharach. House band The Kustard Kings joined the show in june 1994 for The Mancini Tribute and have been the backup band ever since. In any given show, The Kings backup over 20 different singers culled from the always exploding NYC music scene. Since 1993, The Losers Lounge has performed nearly 300 shows honoring 50 different artists, from ABBA to THE ZOMBIES, sometimes with the honorees present: Lee Hazlewood, Paul Williams and Denny Doherty (of The Mamas & Papas) all enthusiastically attended their own tribute nights. Sometimes famous people stop by to sing (Nellie Mckay, the late Joey Ramone, Andy Richter, Parker Posey, Debby Harry, Fred Armisen, J Mascis and They Might Be Giants) but it's the talented group of regulars that consistently bring the house down. After 10 years of sold out shows at Fez, Losers Lounge now packs 'em in regularly at JOE'S PUB. There is a $25 cover.

NYC: "BURLESQUE TO BROADWAY" MAKES OFF-BWAY PREMIERE

The theatrical concert of "BURLESQUE TO BROADWAY" starring Quinn Lemley makes it's Off-Broadway premiere at theGRAMERCY THEATRE (127 East 23rd Street, NYC) with performances Wednesday through Saturday, February 5th through 8th at 8:00 pm. Audiences will experience the remarkable impact of burlesque on musical tastes across a century. From the Great American Songbook to rat pack to rock 'n roll, "Burlesque to Broadway" shows how wide-ranging this impact has been - one of the many unexpected pleasures of this hard-charging show. "Burlesque to Broadway" features the singer-dancers Jessica Bare, Amanda Downey, Leslie McDonel, and Sarah Rolleston. The choreography is by David Eggers and Merete Muenter. Costumes are by Wendall Goings. Steve Rawlins provides the orchestrations. The show's directing consultant is the Tony Award-winning director Joe Hardy. Leading the show's 9-piece live band is music director Dan Micciche. Tickets range from $30 to $160.
