CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: ITALIAN SOUVENIR WITH EMANUELE TOZZI
Emanuele Tozzi, Composer-Pianist-Filmmaker, will perform his show "Italian Souvenir" atTHE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, January 25th at 9:30 pm. He is joined by Jason Vitelli on alto sax/guitar and Courtney Bennett on drums. Tozzi was born in Italy and is currently living in NYC. His passion for music and film started spontaneously, almost instinctively, at the age of seven. After extensive study throughout his childhood, he continued his musical education during college at Milano's School of Jazz while at he same time earning a law degree. Emanuele has played extensively throughout Italy in addition to Houston, Aspen, Los Angeles, Kiev, Tel Aviv, and jazz clubs all over New York City. He has performed for Pope John Paul II, Bill Clinton, Colin Powel, and several Italian luminaries. The Road of Dreams and Italian Souvenir, his two CDs, are currently available on iTunes. In addition to music, he has directed several award-winning short movies with his brother Lorenzo Tozzi. Today he writes songs for an Italian publishing company and performs regularly in Italy and the USA. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
