NYC: JASON MORRIS, MUSICALLY YOGIC

Jason Morris brings his show 'Musically Yogic' to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Monday, January 20th at 7:00 pm. The show is an intimate affair of rare gems, darkly-textured melodies, surprise guests, and of course the signature humour and soaring silky voice that makes audiences adore him. Tracy Stark music directs. Born to a classical pianist mum, music was in his blood from the start. Now, a NY-based performer-producer and the creator and co-producer of the Musical Momentum Concert Series (which continues to raise money for teen suicide, sexual violence, and breast cancer) he continues to prove that music has not only the power to move us to feel, but more importantly, the power that propels us to act and heal. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: CRASS MONKEY SKETCH COMEDY SHOW

Dean Jones and Kevin Skinner bring their absurd, surrealist sketch comedy show once again to the stage of THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Monday, January 20th at 9:30 pm. Crass Monkey Sketch Comedy Show features live and video sketches of parodies and original material. This hour long show will remind you of SCTV and SNL in their heydays, without all that cocaine! There is a $5 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

NYC: DINE & DANCE WITH VINCE GIORDANO AND THE NIGHTHAWKS - NOW AT THE IGUANA

Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks are back - and now will play every Monday & Tuesday night from 8:00 to 11:00 pm at at IGUANA'S VIP LOUNGE (240 West 54th Street, NYC - 212-765-5454). Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks is an eleven-piece band playing music of the 1920s & 30s for your dining and dancing pleasure. In 1976 Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks (originally known as the New Orleans Nighthawks) was formed. A big-band historian and collector, Giordano has more than 60,000 scores in his collection. There is a $15 cover (at the door) plus a $15 food drink minimum.

NYC: THE SONGS OF SHAINA TAUB

Shaina Taub will peresent 'The Songs of Shaina Taub' at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Monday January 20th at 7:00 pm. The concert will feature song selections from all of Taub's current projects including There's A House - a musical commissioned by the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Robin - a musical commissioned by Ars Nova and her albums What Otters Do and Shaina Taub Trio, as well as brand new songs, all performed by Taub's dynamic full band, featuring several guest vocalists. The concert will feature members of her trio: bassist/singer Mike Brun (Mr. Burns), drummer/singer Jacob Colin Cohen (One Man, Two Guv'nors), as well as guitarist Armand Hirsch (Bobby McFerrin World Tour), pianist Dave Melton, and a horn trio comprised of Jas Walton, Andy Clausen and Garrett Schmidt. Taub will be joined by guest vocalists Duncan Sheik (Tony and Grammy winner), Grace McLean (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812), Starr Busby (Things to Ruin), Kate Ferber (The Ghost Brothers of Darkland County), and Molly Hager (Fat Camp). There is a $25-$35 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: GO WHERE THE LOVE IS: THE MUSIC OF JEFF THOMSON

Go Where The Love Is: The Music of Jeff Thomson, with Constantine Maroulis, Jason Gotay & More, will be presented at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Monday, January 20th at 9:30 pm. The star studded night features the best of Broadway performing songs with music by award-winning composer Jeff Thomson. The cast will include Constantine Maroulis, Andi Alhadeff, Andrea Ross, Deborah S. Craig , Natalie Weiss, Jason Gotay, Emma Hunton, Alex Brightman, Preston Sadlier, Ellyn Marsh, John Arthur Greene, Frankie James Grande, Marissa Rosen, F. Michael Haynie, Molly Ranson, Kelly King, Zal Owen, Kat Hennessey, Kevin Moon Loh, Dawn Cantwell , & Jenny Ashman. The evening will highlight material from the upcoming musicals JAWBREAKER, PUMP UP THE VOLUME, TRAILS as well as several yet to be revealed projects. Directed by Broadway's Jen Bender, musical directed by Joshua Stephen Kartes and produced by Ashley Kate Adams, this will be a performance not to miss! NYC: ARIANA DeBOSE IN TYPED OUT

In an intimate cabaret setting, Ariana DeBose (Bring It On, Motown) defies limitations of gender, age & race in TYPED OUT at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Monday, January 20th at 11:30 pm. In collaboration with Ben Rauhala (music direction), Kurt Crowley (arrangements), & two-time Tony nominee Terrence Mann (creative consultant); Ariana investigates what it is to be ethnically ambiguous in a world that thrives on labels. Audiences can expect a variety of mash-ups, medleys and more!
