TOR: THE OSCAR PETERSON TRIBUTE BAND AT JAZZ BISTRO
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the originally scheduled artist for this weekend at THE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299), iconic jazz vibraphonist Peter Appleyard will be re-scheduled at a later date. Stepping in on Friday & Saturday, April 19th & 20th will be bassist/composer/arranger Dave Young and his "Oscar Peterson Tribute Band". Young performed and recorded for many years with the late, great Oscar Peterson and will be performing material from his own, well-received 2011 JUNO-nominated recording, Aspects of Oscar (Modica Music). Taking the stage alongside Dave will be pianist John Sherwood, drummer Terry Clarke, trumpeter Steve McDade and guitarist Reg Schwager (on Friday and Saturday only).
