NYS: BOB WARREN BAND IN FORT SALEM SPRING CABARET SERIES
Bob Warren and his six-piece band will perform on The MAINSTAGE AT FORT SALEM THEATER (11 East Broadway, Salem, NY - 518-854-9200) in a pre-release preview of his new CD, The Poet in Me, for one show only on Saturday, April 13th at 8:00 pm. They will perform all-new original folk-based songs by Warren, Greenwich (NY)'s poet laureate/troubadour. The band features bassist Tony Markellis, drummer Danny Whelchel, guitarist Don Warren, keyboardist Matt Donnelly, cellist Monica Roach, and vocalist Joy MacKenzie. Bookings for subsequent weeks of the Fort's Songwriter Series include Broadway dance guru Karin Baker's five-person song and dance revue, Echoing Back, saluting Johnny Mercer, on April 20th; and Beautiful Girls: Celebrating Sondheim's Women, on April 27th. The $25 admission includes a $5 credit toward coffee and dessert provided by Norene and Fred's of Salem; advance reservations are recommended.
