NYC: NINA HENNESSEY - WITH A SONG - TONIGHT!
Broadway and concert veteran, Nina Hennessey, returns to the THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) on Tuesday & Wednesday, April 16th & 17th at 7:00 pm to premiere her new show WITH A SONG. She is accompanied by her band, Musical Director and arranger Don Rebic on piano, her husband Ray Marchica on drums and Jeff Ganz on bass. Ever since her last Broadway show, Bye Bye Birdie closed Nina has been cooking up something new. It began when Marilyn Maye and Don Rebic met Nina in the rehearsal studio to rework her book of favorite songs. The working title for this show was The Love Project because that is what is was...a labor of love shared with so many friends. But ,as with any potion, the essence reveals itself after a good simmer. WITH A SONG is the perfect after work aperatif for a spring night in New York. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
