NYC: LIONS TRIO AT BIRDLAND
CELEBRATING MARCH IS CABARET MONTH
BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) present the newly formed Lions Trio on Tuesday, March 26th with shows at 8:30 & 11:00 pm, featuring venerated Russian-American pianist Yelena Eckemoff, Norwegian bassist and ECM Records icon, Arild Andersen in a rare NYC appearance, and charismatic American drummer, Billy Hart. The Lions Trio will perform new songs from Yelena's upcoming release, "Glass Song," offering a chance for jazz fans to experience an evening of dazzling music and relaxation. The Lions Trio seamlessly joins three incredible voices into one, transforming the spirit of the original compositions to a rarely heard level of intimacy and beauty. There is a $30 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
