CELEBRATING MARCH IS CABARET MONTH
A huge hit at an upstate dinner theatre, "The Real (Desperate) Housewives of Columbia County Musical!" will be presented at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Thursdays, March 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th at 9:30 pm. Starring Diedre Bollinger, Meg Dooley, Lisa Franklin and Constance Lopez, with Book & lyrics by Carl Ritchie, music by Wayne Moore. The show tells the story of four funny, fabulous women. Two are locals and two are weekenders in a world where there may be ups and downs but Happy Hour is always just around the corner. The show is based - very loosely - on those ubiquitous Reality TV shows. The hilarious musical numbers are all original new songs such as, "Don't Fool Around on Your Broker", "Shop Till You Drop", "A Good Handyman is Hard to Find" and "It Isn't Easy Being a Bitch". There is an $18-$40 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
