Desert Rose Productions, Inc. will present Francesca Amari in "You Make Me Laugh! "You Make Me Laugh!" is a musical biography of the brilliant comedienne, Gilda Radner ... her life, her loves, her peeves, her rise to stardom, her marriage to Gene Wilder, and her brave battle with cancer ... all lovingly and laughingly told through song and Gilda's own words. The music is a mixture of songs from the Great American Songbook, the cabaret world, Broadway and even country. Francesca Amari is a very talented songstress who has performed throughout the United States on concert stages and in theatres from New York to Chicago to San Diego and Los Angeles. She is a well-known desert performer who can often be seen onstage throughout the valley. She has been involved with Musical Chairs Concerts, at the Arthur Newman Theatre in Palm Desert, performs regularly at Azul and Studio One11 and was a finalist in Voice of the Valley. She also travels with her Midwest-based vocal trio, The Boogie Woogie Babies. Tickets are $25 and portion of the ticket sales for "You Make Me Laugh!" will benefit Gilda's Club Desert Cities and The Desert Rose Playhouse.
