CELEBRATING MARCH IS CABARET MONTH
The Claire Daley Quartet will perform at BLUES ALLEY (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141) on Tuesday, March 26th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Claire Daly tears it up on baritone saxophone and flute. A six-time winner in DownBeat magazine's Talent Deserving of Wider Recognition, and voted Baritone Saxophonist of the Year (in 2005) by the Jazz Journalists Association, Daly is a straight-ahead, solid swinger. Her inventive melodic talent has been featured with Joel Forrestor in People Like Us; the Divas Big Band; cross-cultural explorers TriBeCaStan, and a diversity of artists ranging from Billy Taylor to Taj Mahal, to James Brown.
