NYC: MARTHA LORIN WITH LOVE SONGS FOR MOTHERS' DAY - 2:00 pm AT THE MET
Martha Lorin presents Love Songs for Mothers' Day at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday, May 12th at 2:00 pm. The show will feature Martha's and her band performing jazz versions of classic songs mixed with several originals by Martha herself. From Cole Porter to Ellington, from Gershwin to Lorin, hear the voice thast has been critically acclaimed for it's rich tone. After living in New York City for some years, Martha now calls Milford, Pennsylvania home. Martha is constantly exploring the jazz landscape with a spirit of lifting and broadening her musical acumen. Her explorations have presented the opportunity to work with a wide range of world class musicians, including, Paul Smith, Benny Green, Richard Wyands, Harvie Swartz, Eddie Marshall, Monty Budwig, Leon Joyce, Butch Miles, and Mark Isham. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
