Comedy, heart and authenticity are onstage with 4 creative storytellers telling a compelling personal story in the Saturday, September 12th performance of (mostly) TRUE THINGS, at
THE PERFORMING ARTS STUDIO (224 East Main Street, Port Jefferson, NY - RESV: 631-366-4265) at 7:00 pm. "(mostly) TRUE THINGS" features true stories - with a twist - told live, without notes. In this unique show all the stories except one include carefully-crafted deceptions. The whole truth about each of the stories comes out by the end of the show, with the help of the audience. Host and creator Jude Treder-Wolff is a writer/ performer and singer/ songwriter and cabaret artist who has performed at cabaret and comedy clubs in New York and around the country. With musical director Wells Hanley she co-wrote the lyrics and music for the songs used to set up every stage of the game in (mostly) TRUE THINGS. Her solo storytelling show - with all original songs - "Crazytown: my first psychopath" was selected for the 2013 Midtown International Theater Festival, the 2012 Chicago and San Francisco Fringe Festivals and was performed at Actors Theatre Workshop, Broadway Comedy Club and The Pit - The Peoples Improv in New York, at the Charles B. Wang Center at Stonybrook University on Long Island and The Conservatory NJ in Trenton, NJ. Treder-Wolff will be featured in the Thursday, August 27th live performance of RISK! at
THE PIT - NYC (123 East 24th Street, NYC). Her story "Be Here Now" was featured on the "Turning Points" themed RISK podcast in June (

THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-352-3101) on Monday, September 21st at 7:00 pm. The event will be directed by multi-award winning Eric Michael Gillett. Musical director is Dan Furman, with Tom Hubbard on bass and Jonathan Kantor on reeds. The show will star Craig Schulman, along with special guest star Brian Charles Rooney. Also featuring Eric Giancola, Cookie Stark and Kathleen Stuart.

NYC: SUSAN HODGDON CELEBRATES THE RELEASE OF HER LIVE CD FROM HER JUDY GARLAND SHOW
Susan Hodgdon celebrates the release of her live CD From Her Garland Show, "I Could Go On Singing" on Thursday, September 24th at 7:30 pm and Saturday, November 7th at 4:00 pm at
DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) which was performed on March 5th, 2015. "I Could Go on Singing" comprises songs sung by Judy Garland, including some of her lesser known songs as well as those commonly associated with Judy. This is a story of Garland`s life and includes tidbits not necessarily known to the public. Susan Hodgdon researched her project for over a year and wrote the show herself. Musical Director for the show is Daryl Kojak and includes arrangements by both Bill Zeffiro and Daryl Kojak. Tanya Moberly is the Director. Susan first started doing cabaret about 7 years ago and this is her 3rd solo cabaret show. In her 2012 solo cabaret show. Susan attended the 2008 Cabaret Symposium at Yale and has studied acting at HB Studio in NYC, Dance with Albano Ballet (Hartford, CT) and Voice with the Hartt School of Music Community Division (West Hartford, CT) and later continued her Voice studies with the Singer`s Forum (NYC). Susan has always had a passion for singing. She lives in Wethersfield, CT and frequently makes the trek into NYC to pursue her singing aspirations. By day Susan Hodgdon works as a Vocational Counselor with the CT. Department of Labor. She was first bit by the performing bug at the age of 10 when she performed in a traveling children's theater group, and later attended a couple of Performing Arts Camps, which gave her the opportunity to perform in Summer Stock Productions throughout New England. Susan also acted in local Community Theater Productions. There is a $5 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. Paid attendees will receive a free copy of the CD.

NYC: SANDRA BARGMAN IN THE EDGE OF EVERYDAY
Sacred Stages LLC presents Sandra Bargman in her show "The Edge of Everyday" at
THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday, September 27th at 4:00 pm. "The Edge of Everyday" explores our fear of change and ultimately, our acceptance of the dichotomies of Life. "The Edge" is where our resistance, our reluctance to embrace the diversity of life, collides with the inevitability of change in all the corners of our lives. Sandra considers the tension between these seeming paradoxes with poignancy and comedy, and with music ranging from David Bowie and Eric Clapton to Georgia Stitt and David Cantor, the show is a rowdy ride! Sandra Bargman has appeared in the Madison Square Garden's Broadway National tour of CINDERELLA starring Eartha Kitt. She has appeared Off-Broadway, has played leading roles in regional theaters and summer stock productions across the country, and has sung in many of the cabaret rooms of NYC. She holds a BFA from Carnegie-Mellon University. Her distinct voice can be heard in numerous radio and television commercials. Member AEA, SAG/AFTRA. Sandra is also a seminary trained Ordained Intespiritual Minister and is the founder of Sacred Stages, LLC, an organization that combines her performing background and her ministry. Sacred Stages is dedicated to encouraging everyone to explore our big questions about life and to re-discover timeless universal truths through the venue of live theater, music, media and workshops. The show is directed by multi MAC Award and Bistro Backstage Award winner Shawn Moninger. Musical Director Ian Herman will accompany Sandra at the piano with Dave Silliman on percussion and Jerry DeVore on bass. Sandra and Ian will debut their original tune, "Who's To Say?" and Sandra debuts her original rap "beat poet" tune, "Lean In Edgy Ones". There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
