RRAZZ ROOM at THE HOTEL NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-394-1189) will present the return engagement of San Francisco's first couple of Jazz and the Great American Songbook, Wesla Whitfield with The Mike Greensill Trio on Sunday, November 11th through Wednesday, November 21st (no performances on Mondays). "Lucky To Be Me" will feature a retrospective of their illustrious recording career, including selections from the new CD - Best Things In Life: Live from the Rrazz Room - which was recorded during her annual run at the club and was released in November 2011. In addition to Greensill on piano, the show will feature John Wiitala on bass and Vince Lateano on drums. Wesla Whitfield is acclaimed as one of the most gifted performers with a deep love for the rich storehouse of musical treasures in the Great American Songbook. Though based in San Francisco, Whitfield also spends much of her time in New York, working such noted venues as Lincoln Center, the JVC Jazz Festival, NY Town Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Carnegie Hall and Joe's Pub at New York's Public Theater. Mike Greensill graduated from Leeds College of Music in England, toured Europe and the Far East and lived in Hong Kong before settling in San Francisco. Known in his role as musical director to Wesla Whitfield, with whom he has recorded twenty albums, Mike is also resident piano player on Sedge Thomson's weekly Public Radio show "West Coast Live." Pamela has enjoyed successful engagements - and drawn capacity crowds - in many of the top Jazz and Cabaret Clubs. Pamela began working with Houston Person in 2007. His famously beautiful saxophone tone has graced three of Pamela's four albums. Missy Keane is no stranger to the cabaret scene, having inaugurated NYC's Feinstein's at Loews Regency's popular Monday night series with her sold-out show Timeless in 2002. Trained at The Juilliard School, Missy's other cabaret shows include her return engagements at Feinstein's and appearances at Time Square's infamous Copacabana, Laurie Beechman Theater on Theater Row, Don't Tell Mama's, Backstage at Dopo Teatro, among many others. The show is directed by Aaron Morishita. Performances are scheduled for Monday, November 12th And Thursday, November 15th, all shows at 7:00 pm. Carol sings and shares intriguing anecdotes about magical encounters - some simply brief brushes, others life-long friendships - which enriched her journey from bookworm to cabaret singer. RRAZZ ROOM at THE HOTEL NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-394-1189 - ) presents the return engagement of acclaimed cabaret superstar, Lady Rizo, in her new show "Autumn in San Francisco" for two nights only, Sunday, November 11th at 9:00 pm and Thursday, November 15th at 9:00 pm. After her sold-out debut performance last spring, the daring chanteuse now presents a starry nighttime brimming with stunning originals, thrilling quips, twisted standards, and vintage arrangements of current pop songs. LADY RIZO took the International Edinburgh Festival by storm in her European debut this month, winning the coveted Time Out London and Soho Theatre Award. Rizo has performed her sold-out show at the East Village's famous Joe's Pub at the Public Theater for the last three years, released a single with Moby that topped European charts, and won a Grammy Award for a duet with Yo-Yo Ma and his famous cello. In January 2010 she won her first Grammy on a duet with acclaimed cellist Yo-Yo Ma that was released on a Holiday album featuring Diana Krall, James Taylor and Alison Krauss among others. She also sings and records with multi-platinum recording artist Moby and was nominated for an MVPA for the choreography the video for the single New York, New York featuring Debbie Harry. RRAZZ ROOM at THE HOTEL NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-394-1189) will present the return engagement of San Francisco's first couple of Jazz and the Great American Songbook, Wesla Whitfield with The Mike Greensill Trio on Sunday, November 11th through Wednesday, November 21st (no performances on Mondays). "Lucky To Be Me" will feature a retrospective of their illustrious recording career, including selections from the new CD - Best Things In Life: Live from the Rrazz Room - which was recorded during her annual run at the club and was released in November 2011. In addition to Greensill on piano, the show will feature John Wiitala on bass and Vince Lateano on drums. Wesla Whitfield is acclaimed as one of the most gifted performers with a deep love for the rich storehouse of musical treasures in the Great American Songbook. Though based in San Francisco, Whitfield also spends much of her time in New York, working such noted venues as Lincoln Center, the JVC Jazz Festival, NY Town Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Carnegie Hall and Joe's Pub at New York's Public Theater. Mike Greensill graduated from Leeds College of Music in England, toured Europe and the Far East and lived in Hong Kong before settling in San Francisco. Known in his role as musical director to Wesla Whitfield, with whom he has recorded twenty albums, Mike is also resident piano player on Sedge Thomson's weekly Public Radio show "West Coast Live." Tony Nominee and Emmy Award-winning actress, singer and recording artist Liz Callaway takes to the 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) stage for seven very special performances in November. The evening will be comprised of songs by composer/ lyricist Seth Bisen-Hersh. Bisen-Hersh will be joined on stage by a phenomenal cast including Ashley Kate Adams (La Cage aux Folles), Morgan Billings (The Sound of Music), Nora Fox Blackall (The Sound of Music), Toby Blackwell (Rent), Brian Childers (Danny and Sylvia), Jason Gotay (Bring it On), Kimberly Faye Greenberg (One Night With Fanny Brice), Nina Hennessey (Bye, Bye Birdie), Katie Kiyan (Hair), Elise Levin (Born Blue), Elly Noble (Carrie), Rori Nogee (Pinkalicious), Caryn Osofsky (The Fantasticks), David Perlman (Baby It's You), Kristine Reese (Wicked), Brian Charles Rooney (The Threepenny Opera), Courter Simmons (Jersey Boys), Shelley Thomas (Rent) and Elisa Winter (Sweeney Todd). The concert will be produced by Dennis Fowler, directed by Laura Pestronk, stage managed by Andrew Morton & Emma Peele. All the proceeds for the evening will go to Citymeals-on-Wheels, which "raises private funds to ensure no homebound elderly New Yorker will ever go a day without food or human company." The canned goods will be donated to City Harvest, a "food rescue organization, dedicated to feeding the city's hungry men, women, and children." There is a $17 cover plus a 2-drink minimum ($2 off cover with the donation of canned goods).
