SAN FRANCISCO: WILLIAM PARKER QUARTET AT YOSHI'S TONIGHT
The William Parker Quartet will perform at YOSHI'S (1330 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-655-5600) on Wednesday, May 15th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. William Parker formed this stunning Quartet in 2000, and the group has been a primary vehicle for his supreme talents as bassist, composer and bandleader since that time. They have released four highly and widely acclaimed albums: O'Neal's Porch, Raining On The Moon, Sound Unity, and Petit Oiseau, and have engendered joy and awe in audiences around the world whenever they perform. They have toured Canada, Europe and the United States, in clubs and at major festivals. The entire history of jazz, inside out, is within their unified breath and at their collective fingertips, and they continue to create their own highly estimable chapter therein.
