Peggy Herman makes her much-anticipated return to the New York cabaret stage with a new show, "Herman on Herman ... with a Touch of Merman" to be presented at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440). Directed by Peter Glebo and Tommy Tune, with music director Alex Rybeck on piano, "Herman on Herman ... " will be presented on Saturday through Monday, May 14th through 16th at 7:00 pm and on Sunday, June 5th at 4:00 pm. Herman has appeared at Town Hall, and such fabled Manhattan nightspots as The Firebird Cafe, The King Kong Room, and Eighty Eights. Her career was launched at sea, where she performed on five-star cruise ships with Cunard, Royal Viking, Oceania, and Crystal Cruise Lines. This in turn led to a nightclub career, during which she opened for Phyllis Diller at Miami Beach's Fontainebleau Hotel, and, later on, for Bob Hope, Alan King and Milton Berle. San Francisco jazz/cabaret vocalists, Linda Kosut and Benn Bacot share the stage at Los Angeles' posh, retro-inspired supper club, theM BAR (1253 North Vine Street, Hollywood, CA - 323-856-0036), on Friday, May 13th 8:00 pm. "A Taste of San Francisco" will be Mr. Bacot's debut Los Angeles appearance; it also marks the first time Ms. Kosut has been back to Los Angeles since her successful 2007 performance at the Jazz Bakery. They will perform their latest show "Inside Vickie & Nickie!", an up close and personal show about Vickie and Nickie's childhoods, families, show biz careers and their hopes and dreams. The multi-instrumental, singing suburban housewife sister duo from Minnesota are played by native New Yorkers and real life sisters, Lisa and Lori Brigantino who have been performing together since they were children, but created the characters of Vickie and Nickie only 7 years ago. During the course of their shows the sisters intertwine pop and original songs with dialogue, improv and audience participation all while accompanying themselves on many different instruments including acoustic guitars, electric guitar, keyboard, accordion, saxophone, violin, ukuleles, percussion and more. NYC: AROUND THE WORLD IN A BAD MOOD RETURNS TO NYC

The long-recurring musical comedy revue Around the World in a Bad Mood returns for a limited engagement in NYC Thursday through Saturday, May 12th through 14th at 7:00 pm and Sunday, May 15th at 4:30 pm at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438 ). Written by real-life flight attendant Rene Foss, ...Bad Mood is a non-stop flight of fancy through the chaotic, ridiculous and all-too-real life of a flight attendant and the frustrations and foibles of commercial air travel. Through sketches and songs, you'll take a terrifically turbulent ride on the journey of a flight attendant through the job interview to their first flight to what it's like to spend years on the job. The show - now in its 12th year! - features original music by Michael McFrederick. The cast includes 2010 MAC Award winner Hector Coris, Rene Foss and Rachael Lee. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

25th ANNUAL MAC AWARDS TONIGHT AT BB KINGS

MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets) has announced the nominees for the The 25th Annual MAC Awards which will be held Tuesday, May 10th at 7:30 PM at BB KING'S BLUES CLUB (237 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-997-4144). MAC will be announcing the winners and handing out awards in 21 categories to honor the best in live performance, recordings, songs and shows in cabaret, jazz, and standup comedy from the past year. The evening will be hosted by CHRISTINE PEDI.

Scheduled to appear as performers and presenters are:
