BOSTON TONIGHT: NICKY SCHRIRE QUARTET AT SCULLERS
The Nicky Schrire Quartet performs at SCULLERS JAZZ CLUB (400 Soldiers Field Road, Allston, MA - 617-562-4111) on Thursday, May 16th at 8:00 pm. Nicky Schrire is a South African vocalist and composer based in New York City. Her 2012 debut album was released to critical acclaim. Her 2013 sophomore release features duets with pianists Gerald Clayton, Gil Goldstein and Fabian Almazan. Along with her bandmates - pianist Glenn Zaleski, bassist Sam Anning and drummer Jake Goldbas - she proves to be a talented singer who's also a serious musician, very committed to her art, never afraid to try out something new in her own irrepressible style.
