NYC: CAROLYN MONTGOMERY-FORANT: VISIBLE PHOENIX
MAC, Back Stage Bistro and Nightlife Award winning singer, songwriter and recording artist Carolyn Montgomery-Forant, returns to the New York City stage in her first solo show in eight years! Her show 'Visible Phoenix' continues at
THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Saturday, January 31st at 7:00 pm, with additional shows scheduled for Fridays, March 8th, April 10th and May 8th, 2015 - all shows at 7:00 pm. Musical direction is by Donald Rebic (Leslie Uggams, Karen Akers), and the show features a five-piece band and Carolyn's trio of back-up singers, The Fine Whine. Montgomery-Forant returned to the stage one year ago, in January 2014. Within nine short months, she was featured in the acclaimed review The Amanda McBroom Project (directed by Broadway's Arthur Masella, and co-starring Karen Akers, Mandy Gonzales, Lacretta Ross and KT Sullivan) at the Studio Theater in New York City; she appeared in the popular series Broadway by the Year at Town Hall and she co-starred at 54 Below to standing room only crowds in the hit show Dirty Little Songs. In addition, Montgomery-Forant took her fledging solo act to Davenport's in Chicago, The Hackney Attic in London, and Martuni's in San Francisco, delighting audiences and critics alike. Directed by Eric Michael Gillett, this comeback tour de force incorporates music from a wide range of genres and eras, original comedy, and a few songs with music and lyrics by Montgomery-Forant herself. There is a $20 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: KAREN WYMAN RETURNS TO THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
Karen Wyman - the celebrated pop/ jazz vocalist currently celebrating a renaissance since her days performing on "The Ed Sullivan Show" and "The Dean Martin Show" - will return to
THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, January 31st at 7:00 pm. The new evening of music will feature timeless pop standards by Cole Porter, Jule Styne and Harold Arlen, in addition to 1960's classics from The Beatles and Burt Bacharach and her Billboard-charting hit "Why Can't I Walk Away?" The show will feature music director John Oddo (Rosemary Clooney, Michael Feinstein, Linda Eder) on piano leading an all-star trio. Wyman became a national vocal sensation at the age of 16 in 1969, recording for Decca Records. The Bronx native sang on "The Dean Martin Show," "The Ed Sullivan Show," "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson," and on variety programs hosted by Carol Burnett, Glen Campbell, Dick Cavett, David Frost, Merv Griffin and Mike Douglas. She performed in nightclubs and concert stages throughout the county for years and released albums and singles on MCA and Columbia Records, several arranged by Peter Matz. Since her successful return to the stage after taking time to raise her family, she has performed at Jazz at Lincoln Center for the Mabel Mercer Foundation, "Wall to Wall Cabaret" at Symphony Space and concert venues like Birdland and 54 Below.There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: JUDY AND LIZA TOGETHER AGAIN AT MAMA'S
Cabaret favorites Tommy Femia and Rick Skye have teamed up for another evening of "Judy and Liza Together Again" at
DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Saturdays, January 17th & 31st at 8:00 pm. They are joined by Ricky Ritzel (as Mort) at the piano. These MAC Award winning performers (Best Impersonation) will pull out all the stops, singing classic solo's, parodies, duets and just plain whooping and hollering by the greatest mother/ daughter team in show biz history. Tommy Femia is a 7 time winner of the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC) Award for his brilliant portrayal of Judy Garland in "Judy Garland LIVE!", now in it's 20th season at Don't Tell Mama. He has also starred in "Whoop-de-doo", "I Will Come Back" and, most recently, "Norma Does Men". Rick Skye is best known for writing a string of outrageous comic revues including "The Flip Side of Neil Sedaka", "MaCabaret - a tabloid fable", "The War of the Mama Roses", "It's Madame with an E" and the International hit - "A Slice O' Minnelli" for which has enjoyed successful season's in Covent Garden, at the Apollo Theatre in London's West End and at the Dublin Theatre Festival where he received the Award for "Best Achievement in Performance". NYC: 54 BELOW CELEBRATES THE RETURN OF CHRISTINE EBERSOLE
54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551 - ) celebrates the return engagement of two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole with her show 'Big Noise From Winnetka' on Wednesdays through Saturdays, January 21st through 24th and 28th through 31st, all shows at 7:00 pm. Here 54 Below appearance follows a sold out 2 week run of her new show=. Christine's show returns for 8 performances, with musical director Bette Sussman (Whitney Houston, Cyndi Lauper, Bette Midler) leading Christine's 4 piece band and vocalist Tabitha Fair. The concert features both classic and re-imagined Broadway hits, pop and jazz classics and anecdotes about growing up. Winner of two Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Musical (42nd Street and Grey Gardens), Christine co-stars on the hit TBS series Sullivan & Son (now in it's 3rd season). Dennia Lambert, a French Canadian, but not from Quebec, hailing all the way from Western Canada, will perform at
54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Saturday, January 31st at 9:30 pm. Denis has established himself as one of the most exciting triple threats around. Having sung around the city in practically every cabaret venue you can think of in addition to concerts at Encores! and Carnegie Hall, Denis first appeared on Broadway in the revival of A Chorus Line and is set for this season's Doctor Zhivago. After exploring his formative years in his one man show Getting Tall, in his 54 Below debut he just wants to have a good time! So Denis has invited his friends Amy Jo Jackson (Dani Girl), Jared Joseph (Holler If Ya Hear Me), Nikka Graff Lanzarone (Chicago) & Mary Michael Patterson (The Phantom of the Opera) to help him sing some of his favorite tunes in a brand new show that celebrates and finds humor in his almost decade-long journey in New York City. Ellyn balances maintaining a busy Broadway career with playing mom to 5-year-old Lola, who's too cavalier to care what Ellyn had to do to get her that Elsa dress! In INAPPROPRIATE, Ellyn shares her sharp comedic wit and high belting, offering an evening of popular songs, musical theater songs, and of course, medleys - accompanied by stories of performing on Broadway and persuading her daughter to be a doctor.
