TONIGHT NYC: FABRIZIO SOTTI "RIGHT NOW" ALBUM RELEASE AT THE BLUE NOTE
Lauded Italian jazz guitar virtuoso and music producer/songwriter Fabrizio Sotti will release his stunning new album Right Now at THE BLUE NOTE (131 West 3rd Street, NYC - 212-475-8592 - ) on Tuesday & Wednesday, May 14th & 15th with shows at 8:00 & 10:30 pm, via Sotti Entertainment, Inc. Mixing his jazz and pop sensibilities for the first time as a recording artist, Fabrizio has assembled an exciting and unexpected list of guests on his latest effort, which features original songs and timeless covers of popular tunes. Joining Fabrizio is R&B powerhouse Melanie Fiona, reggae superstar Shaggy, hip-hop icons Ice T and M-1 of Dead Prez, alt-soul singer Res, European pop legend Zucchero, acclaimed composer/multi-instrumentalist/producer Mino Cinelu, Chilean jazz vocalist Claudia Acuna, soul singer Alegbra Blessett and rising Swedish star Isabella Lundgren. Songs that have both personally and musically inspired Fabrizio have been re-worked into mesmerizing jazz-pop gems, including Pink Floyd's "The Wall," Jimi Hendrix's "The Wind Cries Mary," Bob Marley's "Waitin' In Vain," U2's "One" and Cesaria Evora's "Fidjo Maguado." The album's cohesive sound stems from the band made up of Fabrizio on electric, acoustic, classical and nylon string guitars, Tony Grey on bass and Mino Cinelu on drums/percussion. There is a $15-$25 cover.
