INDIANAPOLIS: UTE LEMPER AT THE COLUMBIA CLUB - 2 NIGHTS ONLY
German cabaret icon, Ute Lemper, will perform at THE CABARET AT THE COLUMBIA CLUB (121 Monument Circle, Indianapolis, IN - 317-275-1169 - ) on Friday & Saturday, May 17th & 18th at 8:00 pm. Her show takes the audience on a journey through Berlin (Brecht, Weill) to the poetic universe of the French chansons (Brel, Piaf, Ferre) and to the Argentinean world of Tango (Astor Piazzolla) all while telling the stories of love lost, survival and passion. Ute Lemper is renowned all over the world for making her mark on the stage, in films, in concert and as a unique recording artist. Theatrical credits include a recreation of the Marlene Dietrich-created Lola in The Blue Angel, the original European Sally Bowles in the Paris production of Cabaret, the title role in Peter Pan, the Viennese cast of Cats, and Velma Kelly in Chicago for which she won the Laurence Olivier Award in London.
