NYC CABARET TONIGHT: TONY AWARD WINNING YVONNE CONSTANT AT METROPOLITAN ROOM
The Tony Award-winning actress Yvonne Constant will appear in her latest show "One of a Kind," at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Tuesday, April 30th; Tuesday, May 7th; Monday, May 20th, and Tuesday, May 28th, all shows at 7:00 pm. She is joined by music director Russ Kassoff on piano. "One of a Kind," is her seventh Metropolitan Room engagement since making concert debut there in 2008. In the show Contstant declares her independence, exploring in song and stories the many ways in which her singleness of mind, body and spirit, have brought her joy and fueled her career. In "One of a Kind," Constant has her way with songs by or associated with some of her favorite free-spirits and iconoclasts, from Petula Clark, to Jimmy Durante and Ethel Merman, to Giusseppi Verdi. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
