L.A. TONIGHT: ANDREA MARCOVICCI AT THE GARDENIA WITH NEW SHOW
Cabaret favorited Andrea Marcovicci brings her show Moonlight Cocktail - Stork Club to THE GARDENIA(7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444) on Wednesday, May 29th and Friday & Saturday, June 21st & 22nd, all shows at 9:00 pm. The show celebrates that bygone era of sophisticated New York nightlife of dining and dancing at The Stork Club and the El Morocco. And at Tony's, Spivy's and The Blue Angel where the singers that enthralled you became household names like Mabel Mercer, Bobby Short, Julie Wilson, Hildegarde, Portia Nelson, Billie Holiday and more. Andrea's nostalgic spin through the forties and fifties, when an evening began at one club before winding down with fine champagne at another, is filled with her unique insight, charm and wit. She reveals the backstage stories while capturing the joi de vivre of the era. Highlights include: Sunday in New York, You Fascinate Me So, Darling Je Vous Aime Beaucoup, All in Fun, Talk of the Town, Some Other Time, as well as the delicious title song Moonlight Cocktail.
