NYC: GEORGA OSBORNE IS "BACK" AT MAMA'S

Back Stage Bistro and MAC Award winning popular cabaret artist and comedienne Georga Osborne returns to the stage after a 10-year hiatus in a brand new one-woman show, "back" at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 ) with one last show on Sunday, October 12th at 3:00 pm. Featuring an eclectic mix of music from Aretha to Winwood and Ahrens & Flaherty to Rodgers & Hammerstein, "back" is about being back on the cabaret stage, looking back, realizing we can't go back, and "Oh! My back!" The show is directed by Lennie Watts and Steven Ray Watkins provides musical direction. There may even be a special visit from 1960s-70s Pop Sensation (and Georga's pal and spirit guide), Mrs. Miller! Osborne is known for her tributes to Mrs. Miller and more recently for her appearances as Florence Foster Jenkins in "Souvenir: A Fantasy on the Life of Florence Foster Jenkins" by Stephen Temperley. Georga Osborne has a Bistro Award for Outstanding Musical Comedy Performer as well as two MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets) Awards in the same category. The cross-over artist has appeared on Broadway in "Meet Me in St. Louis" and has toured extensively in multiple international tours of such productions as the Cameron Mackintosh/National Theatre of Great Britain's production of "My Fair Lady", "The Sound of Music" (with both Marie Osmond and Debby Boone) and "Hansel und Gretel" as the Knusperhexe with the Pittsburgh Opera Theater. In addition, she has sung back-up vocals for Bjork and dragged Renee Fleming across the stage at Carnegie Hall in "A Streetcar Named Desire." There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
 CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE MEMBER EVENT

Sunday Open Mic comes to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on the 2nd & 4th Sundays each month from 12:00 noon to 2:30 pm (signup ay 11:30 am). Presented and hosted by Susan Winter and Deb Berman, the "OPEN MIC AT THE MET" is not your average Open Mic since it will be presented on the iconic stage, with amazing acoustics, high-end equipment, and experienced sound engineer to help create a concert-like experience in Metropolitan Room's friendly, warm environment. Each Open Mic offers different pianists to accompany your performance. There is a $15 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum. 

NYC: BUDAPEST IN JAZZ AGE WITH NIKI PANKOVITS

Pilvax Productions presents Budapest in Jazz Age with Niki Pankovits on Sunday, October 12th at 4:00 pm at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440). The show will travel back in time so you can spend an afternoon with Niki Pankovits, celebrating the swanky age of Jazz in Budapest. Guest appearances by Lisa Hufnagel and Mila Milosevits. Jazz Age dress is recommended. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. 

NYC: "THIRTY-WHATEVER" - PATRICK DWYER

Three-time MAC Award-nominated songwriter Patrick Dwyer celebrates his thirty-whateverth birthday at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Sunday, October 12th at 4:30 pm and Monday, October 13th at 7:00 pm. He will celebrate with a new one-man musical, "Thirty-Whatever". There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
