NYC: MARCUS SIMEONE WITH THE TRUTH ABOUT ...

Multi-award winning singer Marcus Simeone will return to his cabaret roots at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) - where he made his cabaret debut in 2001 - for five special shows: Saturdays, September 20th, October 5th and 18th, November 22nd and December 20th, all shows at 7:00 pm. The new shows will celebrate the 2014 release of his latest album, "The Truth About ..." on the Miranda Music label. Joining Marcus for several evenings will be the popular and award winning Carolyn Montgonmery-Forant who returns to the cabaret scene after a family hiatus. Multi-award winner Tracy Stark will serve as music director along with acclaimed bassist Marco Brehm. For this special engagement, Marcus has also invited several cabaret friends as special guests. These include: Tim DiPasqua, Brett Kristofferson, Sue Matsuki, Maria Ottavia, Greg Kay Jones & Carolyn Montgomery-Forant . The last show will benefit the Gregory Kennell Fund with a surprise guest. There is an $18 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: MARIEANN MERINGOLO WITH "CRAZY LOVE" MONTHLY AT THE MET

Marieann Meringolo brings her new show "Crazy Love," to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) for a monthly series opening on Friday, February 9th and running through December 19th. Remaining Show dates & times are Saturday, October 18th at 7:00 pm; Sunday, November 9th at 7:00 pm, and a special holiday show "In the Spirit" on Friday, December 19th at 7:00 pm. Singing from the heart, Meringolo covers an eclectic mix of music from Cole Porter to Sara Bareilles, Michel Legrand, Alan & Marilyn Bergman, Marsha Malamet, and more. In this loveletter to love, Meringolo explores the far reaches of our romantic pursuits, on a road that is as bumpy as it is divine. The show features music director Doyle Newmyer on piano, Boots Maleson on bass, and Brian Woodruff on drums. Eric Michael Gillett is the show's director. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: KRISTINE MILLS: TO OSCAR WITH LOVE ... THE MUSIC OF BRAZIL

Houston's "blond bombshell outta the old school" Kristine Mills, brings her show 'To Oscar With Love...The Music of Brazil' to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, October 18th at 9:30 pm. She has captured the heart of audiences throughout the US and Brazil with her varied repertoire, vocal prowess and contagious spirit. The winner of the Houston Press Music Awards Best Songwriter, Best Female Vocalist and most recently the coveted Houston Arts Alliance Grant in Music, reaches out to her audience with witty and welcoming warmth. Kristine's fifth and most recent cd, a collection of 14 original tunes penned by Mills, asYETuntitled short-listed for the 56th Annual Grammy in the Best Pop with Vocals Category. This versatile artist covers everything from jazz standards, luscious ballads and bossa nova to classic blues and rock. Your ticket and/or donation to the evening's performance goes to No Lost Generation, the current project supported by UNICEF's Next Generation. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. 

MANHATTAN: LE SCANDAL CABARET CONTINUES AT THE BEECHMAN

NYC's longest running burlesque variety show, LE SCANDAL CABARET, continues on Saturdays, at 10:30 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). In its ninth year, Le Scandal features variety acts, circus performers, live music and a bevy of burlesque beauties. New performers every week! Expect sword swallowers, belly dancers, rope trick cowboys, contortionists, torch singing fan dancers and comedic aerobats, all set to the live music of the Le Scandal Orchestra. NYC: SIERRA BOGGESS RETURNS TO 54 BELOW

Broadway's Sierra Boggess returns to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Wednesday through Saturday, October 15th through 18th at 7:00 pm with an additional late show on the 17th at 9:30 pm. Broadway knows her as Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Christine Daae in The Phantom of the Opera and as aspiring opera star Sharon Graham in Master Class. London knows her for her Olivier Award-nominated performance in Love Never Dies and Fantine in Les Miserables. After the success of her solo show Awakening debuted at 54 Below last year, she now returns with a show exploring her life as the middle child, always trying to find balance in the "in between"! It is in that balancing act that we begin to ask the questions and look for growth! Through song, stories and her favorite quotes we will "Find the Balance" together! There is a $55-$75 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum. 

NYC: MOLLY RINGWALD MAKES CAFE CARLYLE DEBUT

Singer/actress Molly Ringwald will make her Cafe Carlyle debut in 'An Evening with Molly Ringwald' at THE CAFE CARLYLE (35 East 76th Street, NYC - 212-744-1600) on Tuesday through Saturday, October 7th through 18th at 8:45 pm with an additional show on Saturdays at 10:45 pm. Ringwald, who got her start in the iconic John Hughes films The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles and Pretty In Pink, has since become an accomplished stage actress, writer and jazz singer. She has starred in Broadway productions of the Pulitzer Prize-winning How I Learned to Drive; the revival of Cabaret; Tony-nominated Enchanted April and the West End production of When Harry Met Sally. She will perform songs from the Great American Songbook and Ringwald's acclaimed album, Except Sometimes and will be joined by her musical director and pianist Peter Smith (all dates except October 9 where he will be substituted by Laurence Hobgood) and Trevor Ware on bass. There is a $50-115 cover.
