NYC: JACKIE DRAPER: DESIGNING WOMAN

Jackie Draper returns to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Thursday, October 16th at 7:00 pm and Sunday, November 9th at 4:00 pm with her new show 'Designing Woman'. Musical director is Gregory Toroian with direction by Kimberly Vaughn with Ritt Henn on bass and Robbyn Tongue on woodwinds. Special Guest is Frank Ayala. There is an $18 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum. $15 cover for members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.

NYC: BOBBIE HOROWITZ:SHOWS TA GO YA! AT THE MET 

Singer / Songwriter Bobbie Horowitz returns to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Monday, September 29th at 7:00 pm. Bobbie writes songs on her own and with collaborators. She wrote songs and sang in junior high & at New Utrecht HS & Camp Reena in the 50's. She won a MAC Award and Billboard Awards as part of the songwriting/performing team Horowitz & Spector. The duo also collaborated with Judy Sanger Richman, the late Malcolm Dodds & Ben Martini and wrote several Country Songs with Jimmy Curtiss. Bobbie later collaborated with John Meyer, David Friedman and Bill Zeffiro. Several performers, such as Tanya Holt & Marcus Simeone and Tanya Moberly and Dana Lorge sing her songs in their award winning cabaret shows. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: BRITTANY DYE & BILLY LOWRIMORE AT THE MET

Brittany Dye, a spunky little musical theatre singer will perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) on Thursday, October 16th at 9:30 pm. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Brittany graduated from Millikin University in 2012 and moved the day after graduation. She has performed all over the Manhattan in piano bar and audition rooms. This is her second performance at The Metropolitan Room and her first solo show. She hopes to one day be cast-able in the musical about Bernadette Peters life and until then she'll bring side splitting entertainment to cabaret houses in her favorite city. She is joined on stage by Billy Lowrimore. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.


NYC: BROADWAY SESSIONS THURSDAYS AT THE LAURIE BEECHMAN

Every Thursday night, as the curtains fall on Broadway, Host Ben Cameron (from Broadway's Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and his crew of amazingly talented folks welcome a new Broadway star to perform at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) at 10:30 pm in this fun and zany musical theater variety show. Get up close and personal with Broadway's brightest as the stars bare their souls, interact with the crowd and celebrate all things BROADWAY. There is a $5 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum. 

NYC: BEN RIMALOWER DEBUTS NEW PLAY "BAD WITH MONEY" 

Ben Rimalower debuts new play "Bad With Money" at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) running on Thursdays at 9:30 pm, September 4th through November 6th. Ben Rimalower's addiction to spending beyond his means has driven him to extreme lengths all his life. In BAD WITH MONEY he charts his sometimes hilarious, sometimes harrowing struggle to overcome his problem - or get rich trying. "Bad With Money" is written and performed by Ben Rimalower and directed by Aaron Mark. Rimalower's first solo show, the long-running hit Patti Issues, explored his obsession with Broadway diva Patti LuPone and his relationship with his troubled gay father. Bad with Money delves into even deeper personal territory with the story of his struggle with debt - a journey that takes him through drug addiction, prostitution, fraud and multiple betrayals. There is a $25-$50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: SIERRA BOGGESS RETURNS TO 54 BELOW

Broadway's Sierra Boggess returns to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Wednesday through Saturday, October 15th through 18th at 7:00 pm with an additional late show on the 17th at 9:30 pm. Broadway knows her as Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Christine Daae in The Phantom of the Opera and as aspiring opera star Sharon Graham in Master Class. London knows her for her Olivier Award-nominated performance in Love Never Dies and Fantine in Les Miserables. After the success of her solo show Awakening debuted at 54 Below last year, she now returns with a show exploring her life as the middle child, always trying to find balance in the "in between"! It is in that balancing act that we begin to ask the questions and look for growth! Through song, stories and her favorite quotes we will "Find the Balance" together! There is a $55-$75 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum. 

NYC: CHARLIE ROSEN'S BROADWAY BIG BAND

Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band returns to 54 BELOW(254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551 - ) on Thursday, October 16th at 9:30 pm. The Broadway Big Band is a full sized jazz orchestra composed of seventeen musicians all play bandleader Charlie Rosen's re-imagined arrangements of an eclectic mix of tunes from Broadway's past, present and beyond! Both modern and classic showtunes are on display in this hugely unique and winning evening, sung by the best and brightest of Broadway's young generation of leading performers in the timeless tradition of a big band. All-star cast of guest vocalists to be announced soon! Directed by Max Friedman. Starring:Laura Osnes, Daniel Breaker, Matt Doyle, Julia Mattison, and Jason Robert Brown previewing material from Honeymoon In Vegas. There is a $25-$35 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum. 

NYC: MOLLY RINGWALD MAKES CAFE CARLYLE DEBUT

Singer/actress Molly Ringwald will make her Cafe Carlyle debut in 'An Evening with Molly Ringwald' at THE CAFE CARLYLE (35 East 76th Street, NYC - 212-744-1600) on Tuesday through Saturday, October 7th through 18th at 8:45 pm with an additional show on Saturdays at 10:45 pm. Ringwald, who got her start in the iconic John Hughes films The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles and Pretty In Pink, has since become an accomplished stage actress, writer and jazz singer. She has starred in Broadway productions of the Pulitzer Prize-winning How I Learned to Drive; the revival of Cabaret; Tony-nominated Enchanted April and the West End production of When Harry Met Sally. She will perform songs from the Great American Songbook and Ringwald's acclaimed album, Except Sometimes and will be joined by her musical director and pianist Peter Smith (all dates except October 9 where he will be substituted by Laurence Hobgood) and Trevor Ware on bass. There is a $50-115 cover.
