BOSTON: KEIKO MATSUI AT SCULLERS
Internationally acclaimed pianist, composer & humanitarian Keiko Matsui will perform at SCULLERS JAZZ CLUB (400 Soldiers Field Road, Allston, MA - 617-562-4111) on Thursday, June 5th at 8:00 pm & Friday, June 6th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Matsui creates ground-breaking, thought provoking & inspirational new music on her new release, "Soul Quest." Keiko is celebrating the 25th anniversary of her recording career with a star-studded CD. TORONTO: STEVE KOVEN TRIO AT THE JAZ BISTRO
Canadian, Toronto-based jazz group The Steve Koven Trio, will perform at THE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299) on Thursday through Saturday, June 5th through 7th at 9:00 pm. Pianist Koven is joined by long time members, Anthony Michelli on drums and Rob Clutton on bass. Formed in 1993, the trio has performed world-wide, and has established themselves as one of Canada's cultural ambassadors. The band has released nine critically-acclaimed albums since their debut, Live at the Senator, in 1997. Many of their compositions have been used for national and international film and TV productions.
