Jane Stroll brings her show 'Too Old to Die Tragically Young' to THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Saturday, May 17th at 7:00 pm. This is a one woman autobiographical show - reflections on a life well lived - covering topics of authors life including aging, drugs, trip to Africa, men and sex and more. NYC: CLARICE TURNBULL - THE COMPLETE SONG STYLIST

Clarice Turnbull transforms jazz standards, bossa nova and reggae in a medley of her own styling in her show The Complete Song Stylist at STAGE 72 (158 West 72nd Street, NYC - 212-362-2590) on Saturday, September 17th at 9:00 pm. She is joined on stage by a band very talented musicians she's worked with for years: Fred Wells (drums), Christopher Hall (bass) and Michael Carpenter (saxophone). The most recent arrival is pianist Naoko Ono, whose collaboration started 4 months ago. Clarice's guest artist for the evening is Fanzy Monguehy, from the Ivory Coast, who teaches in and around the New York schools. Because this is a surprise treat, not much more can be revealed, except to say that his artistry, in combination with jazz, is not to be missed! It will leave you wanting more and more. NYC: JULIE BUDD CELEBRATES HER NEW CD AT THE MET

Julie Bodd will celebrate her new CD "They Wrote the Songs" (released in April) atTHE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Thursday, May 15th at 7:00 pm, with additional performances on Friday & Saturday, the 16th & 17th at 7:00 pm and Sunday the 18th at 4:00 pm. Budd is backed by a quartet led by her long-time music director Herb Bernstein on piano. The combo includes Lew Scott on bass, Sam Lazzarra on drums and Art Weiss on keyboards. In the show, Budd sheds her bright vocal light on newer songwriters of our generation, at least nothing written before the mid-'60s! "They Wrote The Songs" includes unreleased compositions by Ann Hampton Callaway, and Steve Dorff, as well as songs from a host of other climates like The Beatles, Anthony Newley and even Broadway's "The Wiz." NYC: NEW 50 SHADES PARODY AT SOPHIE'S BROADWAY

A new unauthorized musical parody of the international best-selling book "50 Shades of Grey" will be presented at SOPHIE'S NEW YORK (318 West 53rd Street, NYC - 212-757-2323), beginning with a preview performance on Monday May 12th at 7:00 pm. The show is written, directed and choreographed by Tricia Brouk, with original songs by Andrew David Sotomayor, "50 Shades of F****d Up" bursts on the scene from out of nowhere and will be the only unauthorized musical parody north of Times Square. The show officially opens on Monday May 19th at 7:00 pm with performances scheduled for Saturdays at 7:00 & 10:00 pm and Mondays at 7:00 pm through through Monday, June 7th. The cast of four includes Jenna Dallacco as Anastasia, Ben McHugh as Grey, and- in multiple roles - Krista DeMille and Cedric Leiba, Jr. as everyone's Inner Goddess. A veteran burlesque director and choreographer Brouk has directed and choreographed "Broadway Varietease," "Erotic Broadway: Vintage Variety," and "Tokio Confidential" at Atlantic Stage 2. In addition to "The Zombies: A Musical" her choreography credits run the gamut from television to film. Sotomayor, who leads a band of two, is also responsible for the arrangements. His music directing credits include "Cutman: a boxing musical," "Frankie and Debbie: Live at the Martini Lounge," and "Erotic Broadway: Vintage Variety." His composed the scores for "Bent" and the short films "Cuba 1961: A Love Story" and "Timeless." MANHATTAN: LE SCANDAL CABARET CONTINUES AT THE BEECHMAN

NYC's longest running burlesque variety show, LE SCANDAL CABARET, continues on Saturdays, at 10:30 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). Acclaimed for her work in the recent Broadway musical Big Fish, the groundbreaking off-Broadway musical Giant, and break out performance in the 2009 revival of Finian's Rainbow, Kate Baldwin offers her first solo concert program in NYC in three years. Come hear the lessons Kate has learned in her journey from college student to budding professional to one of Broadway's honored leading ladies. NYC: DEPLOYED: A NEW MUSICAL IN CONCERT AT 54 BELOW

An evening of songs from the new musical Deployed by BMI Workshop composer/lyricist and former army spouse Natalie Lovejoy will be presented at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Saturday, May 17th at 11:00 pm. It features a cast of musical theater performers and real veterans. Proceeds from the performance will be donated to The Soldiers Project, a non-profit organization that offers free and confidential counseling to veterans and their families. Deployed follows a young U.S. Army infantry private and his unit's year-long deployment in Iraq and the subsequent battles they face after returning home. NYC: STEVE TYRELL AT THE CAFE CARLYLE

NYC cabaret favorite Steve Tyrell will perform at THE CAFE CARLYLE (35 East 76th Street, NYC - 212-744-1600) on Tuesdays through Saturdays, May 6th through 17th at 8:45 pm, with an added late show on Saturdays at 10:45 pm. (No show on Friday, May 9th). The Grammy Award-winning vocalist is truly a renaissance man. In his almost 5 decades in the music business, he has achieved great success as an artist, producer, songwriter, music supervisor, and performer. His hits "The Way You Look Tonight," "The Simple Life," "Crush On You" and "The Sunny Side of The Street," have launched thousands of weddings and millions of romances. He's held top positions at Standards, Swing, and Big Band outlets with a devoted following at key Adult Contemporary Radio. He has appeared with The Boston Pops, twice with The New York Pops, The Nashville Symphony, and The Houston Symphony on several occasions. In 2005, after the passing of the legendary Bobby Short, Steve was asked by New York City's Cafe Carlyle to take over their revered Holiday Season of November and December, which Mr. Short had not missed in 36 years.
