MUST SEE TONIGHT IN NYC: ERIC YVES GARCIA'S ONE NIGHT STANDARDS RETURNS
Eric Yves Garcia is bringing his show, "One Night Standards," back to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) with two performances, on Saturdays, March 1st & April 5th at 8:00 pm, before taking it to the prestigious Brownville Music Festival in mid-April. The show pulls lesser-known songs from the Great American Songbook canon, with selections reflecting the trials of love and loss in the city. Garcia's musings on the rigor and melancholy of the performer's life are peppered with self-deprecating humor and charm that disarms his audience. Eric burst onto the NYC cabaret scene in May when he was a featured artist in The Mabel Mercer Foundation's 45th Anniversary Celebration "Remembering Mabel and Bobby" at The Town Hall. Since then, he has been named the recipient of the Margaret Whiting Award at the 24th New York Cabaret Convention, and the winner of the 2014 Bistro Award for Outstanding Singer/Instrumentalist. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
