NY STATE: PIANO BAR WITH BOBBY BELFRY AT THE BEAR MOUNTAIN INN

Each Thursday night beginning at 8:00 pm, THE BLUE ROOF TAPAS BAR at THE BEAR MOUNTAIN INN(55 Hessian Drive, Bear Mountain, NY - 845-786-2731) will host a rollicking night of great music from Sinatra to GaGa and just about every musical genre in between on Thursdays, with award winning recording artist and songwriter Bobby Belfry as singer & host and the brilliant all-around musician and singer David Budway at the piano, as well as the magnificent Sarah Mucho on vocals (this lady can croon and rock then tear it all up and start over again! If you don't know what that means-there's only one way to find out!) The mic is OPEN! So if you sing, bring sheet music and sing a tune. AND if you don't sing, sing along anyway! Chef Michael Matarazzo has prepared a phenomenal menu of delicious & sophisticated tapas and comfort-bar food that will satisfy and amaze! BOSTON: HOT CLUB OF DETROIT AT SCULLERS

Hot Club of Detroit performs atSCULLERS JAZZ CLUB(400 Soldiers Field Road, Allston, MA - 617-562-4111) on Thursday, February 27th at with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Their new ablum "Junction" sounds at once vintage and boldly new, rooted in the legacy of Django Reinhardt but also the sensibilities of Ornette Coleman, Pat Metheny, John Zorn and even the rock band Phish. Far from a traditional gypsy jazz ensemble, Hot Club of Detroit (HCOD) proves itself a versatile modern jazz group, with a unique acoustic-electric sound that surges past expectations and genre boundaries. Dinner/Show: $70 Show only: $30.

BOSTON: BUCKWHEAT ZYDECO AT THE REGATTABAR

American musical legend Stanley "Buckwheat" Dural Jr. - along with his band, Buckwheat Zydeco - perform atTHE REGATTABAR at the Charles Hotel (1 Bennett Street, Cambridge, MA - 617-395-7757) on Thursday, February 27th at 7:30 pm. Buckwheat Zydeco is the preeminent ambassador of Louisiana Zydeco music. If you've gotten into Zydeco music, or felt its influence, or watched the world celebrate this great aspect of Louisiana culture over the past 30 years it's likely been because of Buckwheat Zydeco. Bringing the unique sound of Zydeco into the musical mainstream, they released the first-ever major label Zydeco album in 1987, and claim the three largest selling Zydeco albums of all time. No other Zydeco artist has come close to selling as many records or exposing the music to more people around the world. There is a $20 cover.

TORONTO: YOUNG ARTIST SERIES: YOUNGCHAN NA

Youngchan Na will perform atTHE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299) on Thursday, February 27th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm as part of the venue's Young Artist series. Youngchan was born in small town near Seoul in South Korea. Started playing guitar when he was 15. He has played at numerous bars and jazz clubs in Korea. At the age of 18, he attended music program in Kyoung-hee University in Seoul, Korea. Afterwards, Young moved to Canada in 2011, and started attending Humber College jazz program since 2012. Young studied with many famous musicians including Ted Quinlan, Kirk MacDonald, David Occhipinti, Joey Goldstein, and Nancy Walker. He also played with Bernie Senensky, Morgan Childs, Sly Juhas, and John Maharaj. There is no cover.

TORONTO: ADREAN FARRUGIA QUINTET FEATURING PHIL DWYER AND BRAD GOODE

The Adrean Farrugia Quintet featuring Phil Dwyer & Brad Goode perform at THE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299) on Thursday through Saturday, February 27th through March 1st at 9:00 pm. It's been 10 years since this band released it's debut album 'Adrean Farrugia v1.0: Live at the Senator' so it seems fitting that their reunion take place at Toronto's 'reincarnation' of the famed Top O' the Senator club: the new Jazz Bistro. The band comprises some of the current jazz scene's most influential players. Chicago native trumpeter Brad Goode is an alumnus of legendary bands led by Von Freeman, Jack Dejohnette and Curtis Fuller. Recent Order of Canada recipient Phil Dwyer's saxophone playing has garnered him a reputation as one of Canada's 'jazz royalty'. Barry Romberg, founder of Romhog Records and leader of the Juno nominated Random Access brings his explosive drumming to this three night engagement and Jim Vivian, a long time first call bassist in Canada and fixture in groups led by Mike Murley and Don Thompson rounds out the group. These three nights will feature compositions both old and new by Juno award winning pianist Adrean Farrugia. This engagement will be recorded for a future album release. There is a $15 cover.

D.C.: TUCK & PATTI AT BLUES ALLEY

Tuck Andress & Patti Cathcart perform at BLUES ALLEY(1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141) on Thursday through Sunday, February 27th through March 2nd with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. With nothing more than voice and guitar, Tuck & Patti have quietly changed the world. Through whispered ballads as well as playful swing, through a style that tempers simplicity with brisk flashes of virtuosity, they have cast this magic for years to fans around the world. With 29 years of performing together, and 26 years of marriage, the devotion forged by this extraordinary couple shows no sign of dimming from the pressure of familiarity. MARYLAND: VERONNEAU AT BETHESDA BLUES

With their two-acoustic-guitar lineup and a strong siren out front in Quebecoise vocalist Lynn Veronneau, the world-jazz music of Veronneau shifts from Brazilian bossa nova, to swing and french jazz when they perform at BETHESDA BLUES & JAZZ SUPPER CLUB (7719 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD - 240-330-4500) on Thursday, February 27th at 8:00 pm. Veronneau's first two albums were breakout successes, landing them near the top of US jazz and world music radio charts and confirming their reputation as international touring artists with performances in the Canada and Europe. There is a $20 cover.
