'Like Me' a Song Cycle: Music & Lyrics by Garry Lake, starring Mig Ayesa, will be presented at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Monday through Wednesday, January 27th through 29th at 9:30 pm. Social Media and social networking has become part of everyday life for the majority. In some cases our online/cyber persona is somewhat more prolific than our mortal. Relationships are formed and broken, Webs of lies are spun, and the mundane thoughts of thousands of so called 'friends' & 'Followeres' are posted so eloquently every minute, as if delivering cyber sermons to achieve online success for being so witty and profound. Like me is a new original song cycle that steps back to comment on this fascinating addiction that we have all fallen for. Written by British composer Garry lake who is also the creator of Londons answer to forbidden broadway 'Jest End'. Mig Ayesa made his Broadway debut in Burn The Floor in Jan 2010, as well as toured with the show to Australia, Japan, Korea, Canada, and USA. September 2010, Ayesa opened the 1st National Tour of Rock of Ages, as the legendary rocker 'Stacee Jaxx'. March 2011, Ayesa returned to Broadway to reprise his role as 'Stacee Jaxx' for the show's reopening at the Helen Hayes Theatre. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
