CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: TURNING THE PAGE - FROM BOOK TO SONG
'Turning the Page' will be presented at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Sunday, November 10th at 8:00 pm. The show is a song cycle that takes you on a journey through fiction. The characters from masterworks such as The Catcher in the Rye, Of Mice and Men and The Grapes of Wrath come to life as they sing about moments in their lives when there truly is no turning back. The brainchild of composer/lyricist Jason Loffredo, Turning the Page started as a blog project in 2012 called The Book Revue where he wrote one song a month inspired by a different book each month. You can even visit the blog to follow the project's journey from webpage to stage: http://thebookrevue.blogspot.com There is a $15 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
