CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: CHELSEA NENNI IN ROCK 'N' ROLL CABARET
Chelsea Nenni brings her show Rock 'n' Roll Cabaret toTHE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Wednesday, November 13th at 7:00 pm. In Rock 'n' Roll Cabaret, Chelsea Nenni sings New Orleans jazz and rockabilly-inspired renditions of her favorite rock 'n' roll songs, in collaboration with music director Benet Braun. Together they deliver reimagined hits from the last 50 years, including songs by Elvis Presley, the Clash, Blondie, Prince, and No Doubt. The show is peppered with personal anecdotes and legit rock history. Chelsea Nenni, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, has found a new home in New York City's jazz and cabaret communities. Chelsea has performed Rock 'n' Roll Cabaret at the legendary Duplex Cabaret Theatre and at the Upper West Side's Underground Lounge. She routinely sings jazz at clubs around NYC with some of its top bands, including Grammy-nominated JC Hopkins Biggish Band. Benet Braun, originally from Topeka, Kansas, currently serves as music director for Birdland Jazz's monthly Pop Show. Chelsea and Benet have collaborated on all cabaret shows since first working together in an Underground Lounge showcase in 2012. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
