CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: DAVID RALEIGH IN "RETROSPECTIVE" AT BIRDLAND

After spending two months in Australia performing and recording a new album,singer/songwriter/piano player David Raleigh returns to New York City andBIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Monday, November 11th with a brand new show. Making his Birdland debut, David is taking a retro perspective on all things cabaret and soulful, Retrospective is a celebration of favorite American classics, and some original retro-inspired classics-to-be! David Raleigh's unmistakable sound has positioned him as a mainstay on the New York City music scene, performing at The Bitter End, Joe's Pub, The Friar'sClub, Arci's Place and The Metropolitan Room. He has also enjoyed exclusive extended engagements at Stringfellow's, The Supper Club, Tatou, the Waldorf Astoria, the Ritz Carlton and the Hotel Pierre. In Sydney, Australia, David recently performed with Tony winner Alan Cumming at the Sydney Opera House. Since then, he's played with a 40 piece orchestra at 'Hats Off!' in 2010, taken the stage with Aussie stars Trevor Ashley, Ricki-Lee and Simon Burke at the Sydney World AIDS Day Concert in 2011, and closed the season of the iconic St George Open Air Cinema during aspectacular harbor-side fireworks finale in 2012. There is a $25-$35 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
