CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: THE METROPOLITAN ROOM PRESENTS VIVIENNE AERTS
All the way from the Netherlands, jazz vocalist Vivienne Aerts will have her NYC cabaret debut at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday, November 10th at 9:30 pm. She will perform standards and original songs together with pianist Florian Weber. Vivienne lives in Boston and studies at Berklee College of Music. She is among the world's most promising jazz students being admitted to the Berklee Global Jazz Institute jazz talent program. Her teachers include renowned jazz artists such as Danilo Perez, Joe Lovano, John Patitucci, Ed Saindon and Jetro Da Silva. Her music refers to the sounds of the Ella, Duke and Miles. Being occasionally uncategorizable Vivienne is more than a composer and a singer. The flow of her music creates an intimate connection with the audience. She shared stages with national and international renowned artists such as Joe Cohn and Florian Weber. In 2009 was the release of the 1st CD called 'Roofgarden' and her second CD "Polaroid" (2012) is a snappy Jazz a cappella EP, recorded with Australian electronic producer Geoff Baker. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
