CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: FROM THE HOME OF THE ALAMO TO THE HEART OF THE BIG APPLE
Ken Slavin, The number-one male jazz singer in the home of the Alamo will bring his unique sound to the Big Apple when he makes his New York City jazz cabaret debut on Thursday, October 31st at 7:00 pm, at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440). Ken has been entertaining South Texas audiences and recording critically acclaimed CDs for more than 23 years. The show, "You Gotta Have Heart: Ken Slavin LIVE at The Metropolitan Room," will feature some of New York's top jazz musicians and will be recorded live, with a CD to be released in time for Christmas. Slavin's trio will include Manhattan jazz luminaries Ehud Asherie on piano, Joel Forbes on acoustic bass, and Phil Stewart on drums. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
