CABARET TONIGHT IN D.C.: BENNY SHARONI AT BLUES ALLEY
Benny Sharoni, an Israeli-born, Boston-based tenor saxophonist, will perform atBLUES ALLEY (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141) on Wednesday, October 30th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Growing up on the kibbutz in Israel, there was always music in his home. His parents emigrated from Chile and Yemen, so between them he was heavily influenced by Latin and African-based music and rhythms. Both of my parents truly love music and encouraged me at an early age to study classical flute. Because of his extreme free spirit, he sought out a musical form that broke beyond the constraints of classical music. Call for cover/minimum information.
